haydenclaireheroes's Wolverine and Jubilee #1 - Cursed, Part 1 review

With Jubilee being a Vampire will life ever be the same?

    Cover

The cover is kind of boring and the art on Jubilee I do not like that much but I do like how Wolverine looks.

    Story

Jubilee has to go through being different from everyone around her and being a Vampire. Even though everyone is trying to help her she is still a vampire and she can’t control herself. Wolverine hates seeing her like this and tries to help especially when he sees her on a pile of dead people all around Jubilee. Then he decides he wants to help Jubilee his way.

    Best Part

I hated the X-men storyline of the vampires and I thought that this would be the same. I felt like there are so many vampire things like Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and True Blood. I thought to myself and now the X-men has to go through this phase. But I love Jubilee and Wolverines relationship of a kind of father and daughter relationship so I could not resist picking this miniseries up and I am glad. Because this issue took being a vampire in a different direction and you really could see how miserable Jubilee feels being a vampire. Also we got to see the Wolverine and Jubilee relationship I love seeing.

    Worst Part

There was no worst part in the story. I just wish this was more than a miniseries.

    Art

The art is great and reminds me of art in Invincible Iron Man just seems more real. I always love that art and I thought it was perfect for this miniseries.

    Pick it up or not

    Pick it up!!!

    4 ½ out of 5!

I felt in the same way. So many stories about vampires in the market but this was a good read.

Now that the former X-Men Mutant has lost her powers and has been infected with the vampire virus, how will Jubilee deal with her new identity? How will she repress her thirst for blood?    The Good I want to start off by saying that I am not a fan of vampire story-lines-  particularly considering the recent influx in the number of vampires and vampire themed stories in a variety of different mediums (thanks Twilight).  However, the recent development at the end of the Curse of the Mutants arc w...

Coipel's Jubilee COVER: Olivier Coipel is one of my favourite artists and although I'm a little disappointed he's not doing the covers for the whole run, I'm glad that Marvel thought that this comic was 'worthy' enough to receive a cover off him. And the cover is awesome, the up-shot of the two makes them look a whole lotta awesome. Jubilee's updated costume brings out her classic glasses and yellow jacket but also brings up a new sexy black number which is perfect in representing her new vamp ...
