Old Wolverine and Blind Hawkeye Continue Their Journey
People are going to get tired of me professing the awesomeness of Mark Millar, but I'm having a great time with this storyline. The concept of this torn world that Wolverine is trying to survive in is a great way to show him in a new light. Its not easy to pull off believable vulnerability with a character like Wolverine, but that's probably why he's just Logan right now. This issue picks up with Hawkeye and Logan being chased by a venom symbiote who is hosted by a T-Rex of all things. An equally Old Black Bolt makes the save with his powerful words and we get another assist from Emma Frost, whom niether Logan nor Hawkeye is not happy to see. I always find these post-apocolyptic Marvel worlds to be very interesting, as the pages take you through a mildly depressing "where are they now" scenario as we learn more about how things changed after the heroes fell. There is still much left to be answered as this issue continues and more characters begin to appear. Hawkeye and Logan get their intended destination, but by the end things only get worse as the Hawkeye's true intentions are revealed. So far this has been a great story and I've ready for more. Check this one out.
