On Wolverine #59
I'm not sure where the 'critically acclaimed team' part comes from...I have never heard or read a positive word about Howard Chaykin's artwork. When I heard he was going to be working on Wolverine, my contempt for the recent quality of this title was pushed to the point of nearly dropping it from my pull list.
Marvel should feel lucky I'm an obsessive compulsive collector.
It's an interesting take, in regards to the actual storyline, on the Wolverine mythos, but I have to say, I'm not really liking the idea that Wolverine had a supernatural aspect to his longevity, or, in regards to other recent continuity, that he is perhaps a different species than human or whatever crock that Loeb character came up with.
Wolverine lived so long because of his advanced healing factor. He could grow back from a puddle of goo because of his advanced healing factor. It stems from his MUTATION. Why is that not a good enough explanation?
