I liked last issue but this one is even better!

I thought last issue was pretty good but this one was so much better. This time we get some action. We get to see some girl fightin.' From the preview, things don't look good for Dani. You can see that she isn't too experienced in using the Witchblade. She gets placed in a vulnerable position so easily so quickly. Dani's fight in this issue does teach her some things. Will it be enough to take on the psycho Celestine? You'll have to read for yourself.

Once again, the writing and pacing were good. The dialogue is realistic compared to other comics. The art and colors are beautiful. This comic only had three major characters in it (not counting the bird) but it doesn't feel too cramped. Also for someone that hasn't read a lot of Witchblade lately, I was able to really get a fell for the characters, including Dani and Celestine. You can see where they're coming from without the story simply doing a flashback or re-cap. I liked that. This issue also leads us straight into the beginning of First Born #1.

I guess my only complaint is it seemed to end before I knew it. Maybe I just wanted more. The back up story, Tales of the Witchblade was okay. It's a continuation from last issue set in 1635. That's fine and all but I'm more interested in the present.
