Welcome to Tranquility: One Foot in the Grave by Gail Simone & Horacio Domingues
Tim Seeley and Adam Beechen have been very active at the official WS boards so they've really got me pumped about their Wildcats run. I like the little art work I've seen from newcomer Cruddie Torian so I look forward to more. I've also heard a lot of good stuff about Brian Wood's work and I've really liked Rebekah Isaacs' preview art. And of course, I'm happy that Gail Simone is returning to Tranquility and the art I've seen from Horacio Dominques for it looks great!
WildStorm Productions
WildStorm Productions was a founding studio at Image Comics before becoming an imprint of DC Comics in 1999. It started in 1992 by a team of comic creators - Jim Lee chiefly among them. It closed in 2010.
Which new WS creative team are you most excited about?
Ah! I saw the latest image of the upcoming Authority and Wildcats teams and I'm just so excited. Here are some of the pages I've been seeing for a while that I like the most. The gist of what these are about: Aliens from Khera (where Majestic is from) are on Earth and The Carrier is coming back to life and leaving the planet. As a result Wildcats, Stormwatch and Authority all get shuffled leaving two main teams. The Authority (the left half of the second picture up to Rainmaker) will leave on the Carrier and the Wildcats (the right side) will stay on the planet. I'm probably most excited for The Authority, because of the creative team and the character lineup.
Definitely the Authority. I've just finished catching up to the current series, and this:

" Authority team Newsarama interview "was encouraging to read. Also, holy crap, it's Buckshot. What do you think of Grant Morrison's Authority stuff so far?
I've only read the first two (so the only stuff he actually did) and it seem interesting. I need to see more though.

Oh yeah, check this image out:

Yeah, just saw that (bigger again) and it's great. The character I was most excited to see in there was Brass (with Professor Q coming second). How about you?
Yes, I was excited to see Brass too. I'm not sure, but I think I see Allegra, which is interesting since her story was kind of an alternate future. Maybe they're taking this opportunity to introduce her into the WSU proper. I was suprised to see Hazard. Now there's a character that needs a lot of work. It's also cool to see The Fallen again (just re-read Divine Right acutally). It's also good to see the Troika again (minus H.A.R.M.). It's also cool to see Solider and Crusade once again. This'll truly be a great showcase of a lot of WS's characters! :D
I was originally most excited for Authority, but after reading the first issues of both Authority and Wildcats, I've got to say I'm looking forward to Wildcats a little more. Both stories look like they'll be good, but Wildcats was just better in my mind. It was fast-paced like Authority was, but felt less like a mad scramble. The interplay of characters was better there as well. I'm really glad Spartan asserted himself and took over (was worried he'd act like he has been since the start of the current volume), but it's not like King is just sitting back and taking it either. The battle is just kicking off, but things look good.
