Feral mutant resembling Sabretooth. Edit
Origin
When Wildchild's power manifested he was thrown out of his home and captured by the Secret Empire who then conducted experiments on him further mutating his appearance and giving him severe psychological issues that would remain ever-present throughout his life. Gibney was then freed from the Secret Empire only to be detained by Canada's Department H, who began training him to be part of Alpha Flight until Walter Langkowski, aka Sasquatch, decided that he should be part of Gamma Flight. When these teams eventually disbanded he joined Omega Flight and went on a series of murders until he was eventually captured by Wolverine.
Eventually the team was reformed and he once again became part of Gamma Flight, until that also disbanded and he went berserk, attacking another trainee of the program. Eventually Department H cured him of his savagery and trained him to become the operative Weapon Omega and then Wildheart. Despite these attempts of regaining his sanity he once again degenerated into his feral state and left the team. When this degeneration became complete he was inducted into the newly formed Weapon X. After taunting Sabretooth about his burns sustained at the hands of Sunfire, Sabretooth tore out his vocal cords making sure that he would be mute permanently.
Powers
Wild Child's mutant powers include superhuman smell, sight, hearing, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance, coordination, balance, a healing factor, sharp fangs and claws, and pointed ears.
After House of M, Wild Child was confirmed de-powered, however, recently he has resurfaced to get the better of Wolverine and it appears he has regained his powers completely. He also has regained his voice.
Wild Child was also trained by Wolverine so he is skilled in hand to hand combat.
Alternate Realities
Earth-295
In the Age of Apocalypse reality Wild Child was Sabretooth's partner. He was kept on a leash to prevent him from attacking the other X-Men. This version of Wild Child is more feral than Earth-616 Wild Child, and not capable of speech.
His status after the original Age of Apocalypse story was unknown for a long time, but he was recently recruited into Quentin Quire's Exiles.
