The Thames flood barrier has burst. London is now under water. Only Whitechapel is above water level. It's the base for the FreakAngels. Edit
6 years ago the Thames barrier flooded its gates and took out most of London. Only Whitechapel, in the East End, survived the flood. The FreakAngels look after all the people who live there, keeping an eye on things to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Whitechapel is best known for being the hunting ground for Jack the Ripper during the late 19th Century. It lies in the Tower Hamlets council area of London.
