And despite the rumors, there are actually plans to bring them back now that the multiverse is back in existence, as the upcoming "JSA: Earth 2" Annual proves :D

Avantar says:
"Not only do they have Elseworlds, but in the past they also had short stories in some comics called." Just Imagine".I remember part of one story in particular "Just Imagine if the Waynes had adopted Kal-El""
Read the Elseworlds page...
the "Just Imagine..." stories stopped with "Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow?"
the story where Kal-El was adopted by the Wayne's was actually an Elseworld called "Speeding Bullets"

Avantar says:
"Actually Methos... the Elseworld story is not the one I read...I remember the Just Imagine story because Superman still became Superman and saved the Waynes from death at the hands of the mugger. It was a short inside another DC comic."
huh, i'll have to dig that out then :D

Many of the original What If's didn't really change the whole Universe and had only mininmal impact on the Marvel Universe. Extreme changes really could have taken place but you would need more room than one oversized comic to illustrate the impact. I would rather see a whole story arc detailing the changes. In a series of books I read ( cause I am a big fan of alternate timelines), time was describe as a great river.. toss in a pebble and you may make a few ripples but the course is still the same, but build a dam and you change everything ( Time Wars series by Simon Hawke.
