Wes Craven's New Nightmare has its ups and its downs. It is an exciting,entertaining and new take on the classic Dream Slasher. It is set up like it is the real world and they finished the movie Freddy's Dead. The actress who plays Nancy is the lead character in this film. Original Director + Original Cast = A More Fitting Ending 0

Up to this point, the best films in the in the Elm Street series are those that combine the talents of the original writer/director, Wes Craven, and the original cast, namely Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon. In other words, the first film and the third film. WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE : Wes is starting to have more nightmares so he decides to make another Freddy movie. Only this time his fictional character wants to get out into the real world. It hardly looks like a slasher film. With real dialogue, a well written story. Excellent directing, and a redisigned more frightening Freddy that does not make one liners every five minutes. This is among the best of the best as far as slasher movies are concerned.  ...
