Watchmen is a twelve-issue comic book limited series created by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. The grouping of heroes and villains contained in the work are not, in fact, named "The Watchmen", though they were at one point referred to as "Crimebusters". Rorschach, Nite Owl and Dr. Manhattan were the team's primary heroes.
1.) Rorschach, his character is so well developed and his principles so clearly defined, he is the tragic hero of the story. I really don't need to explain much else. He's friggin' Rorschach!
2.) Comedian, aside from the fact that he tried to rape Sally Jupiter when he was 16, he is an awesome character. He is probably the baddest bamf in the book and I must admit that is perspective on life is as interesting and intriguing as the Joker's view.
3.) Doctor Manhattan, he is arguably the most OP character in comics (if only he didn't lack the feats)! His gradual detachment from humanity is also a nice touch to his character.
4.) Ozymandias, although I don't agree with his views and twisted solutions, he is still an awesome villain. He is arguably the 2nd most dangerous man alive by the end of the book (having murdered the Comedian). Plus, he teaches you great time management skills.
5.) Nite Owl, he's to wimpy for me, but his partnership with Rorschach is amazing, and any friend of Rorschach is a friend of mine.
6.) Silk Spectre, she's kind of a whore. However, she is still a cool character.
Either Rorschach or Silk Spectre II. Rorschach because he's awesome. Silk Spectre II because she is the most interesting of them she seems to have a little more depth than the others not that the others were lacking in it. My third would be Nite Owl II. Least favorite is Ozymandias because he is a selfish weasle who deserve to be destroyed on an infinite loop for all eternity.
