Is it just me or am I the only one that thinks they need to bring back Wasp ?
Wasp
Character » Wasp appears in 3558 issues.
Genetically altered by Ant-Man (Henry Pym), Janet Van Dyne gained the ability to alter her size, fly at rapid speeds, and fire bio-electric energy "stings". Calling herself "Wasp", she became Pym's superhero partner. Later, she became a founding member and the first female member of the Avengers.
Wasp needs a comeback ?
Oh yeah what about The Human Torch, Superman, X-Man, Black Bolt and meany others there back so there death diden't mean anything ?

She shouldn't or else her death would be less meaningful. =[
It was meaningless from the get-go.
This.

X-Man was never died but he turned himself into energy which he could later return if he gathered the energy necessary. Dark Beast and Beast had a chat about his kinda death and Jean's death, and explain how Nate could return way even before Dark X-Men happened.
@TheGreyOutcastX: He was dead. Saying that he turned himself into energy was Marvel's way of bringing him back. Just like Captain America didn't die and Wasp is some giant energy space thing in another dimension.
@X35: The image? X-Factor 22 (3rd series) It came out in October 2007.
Or did you mean something else?
@Nobody: He merged will ALL life on the planet so he would still technically be alive in all life. And they never said he died. It's all about the wording. Jean died, Nate dispersed himself into energy. Energy that can regathered. That and Nate became a psionic entity so if you want to be technical, only thing that died was his body. His mind lived on.
@TheGreyOutcastX: If you're body is dead, most people would consider you dead. But now we are just arguing technicalities. He was gone, but now he's not. That's all that matters.
@Nobody: Considering that Nate basically died from cold snap in X-Man 28 or 29, but his mind kept going keeping him alive, that really puts a hamper on that concept. His mind is all the matters. He's a living, breathing thought aka a Psionic Entity now. That's the difference. The body he has now is his mind creating a physical form form for him.
But you are right, all that matter now is Nate is alive....but nerfed. -__-

but her death was meaningless. She died as a weapon for the Skrulls that failed within less than a page. No aftereffects. Nothing. She didn't help any side in any way. They killed her for shock value and she died in two pages with barely any mourning.
I hate it when there deaths are meaningless. Not to mention after a month or two the peason will be back. I like its a wast of our time you know. Or is that just me ?
We don't actually know if Janet is dead or not. Thor ported her away while she was presumably dying, but only he knows where she went.
I really hope she doesn't. Characters coming back from death is easily my least favourite thing about comics. Character death has zero emotional impact on me at this point, because I always know they'll be back. No wonder characters rarely grieve for more than 1 issue

She was last seen in Erebus. I think that proves she's dead.

Even if there death was nothing more than pointless shock value? It's badly written deaths that are the reason why this crap should be retconned in the first place. Maybe Marvel was smart and didn't let Bendis write ANYTHING for them, we wouldn't be in this situation.

No. Unlike Jean Grey, Wasp's death means nothing to the character or the story. Her death was not poetic. It did not further a plot. It wasn't even emotional. It was a death to fill a quota. To make an event seem important.

^QFT! I'd be for keeping her dead if the way in which she died was done in an emotional or meaningful way, but it wasn't. It was done in a lazy manner, and seemingly for pure shock value. And in one of the worst cross-over events in recent memory (which says a lot for how bad that story was).

Forget how bad Secret Invasion was, it says a lot of how much of a hackneyed writer Bendis has become in recent times and how biased he is against certain Marvel characters and licenses. How the man hasn't been fired by now, I have no idea.
She doesn't remember who she is and is part of a group of cyborgs called the descendants who are the bad guys, O'grady the secret avengers Ant man is working for the descendants either he was killed by them and replaced, or is under their control was turned into a cyborg. Check out Secret Avengers # 22.

I just might. Who is currently writing Secret Avengers?
I agree. She has been away for a while. But I have a feeling once Ant Man the movie comes out she will be back
