The Complete Wash Tubbs and Captain Easy by Roy Crane were published by the Flying Buttress Classics Library. Widely considered to be one of the first great adventure strips, Wash Tubbs the wise-cracking, girl-chasing opportunist and soldier of fortune Captain Easy are back for more fun and adventure. Volume 16 (1940-1941) reprints Crane's classic comic strips. Wash and Easy rescue Ginger Nelson and the largest diamond in the world. Then, with the help of Lulu Belle, they fend off Theresa the butcher girl, a group of tigers, and the Wolf-Girl of Ghost Lake. Meanwhile in Easy's solo strip, the Captain joins the FBI and discovers a scheme to wreck havoc on the country's defense program.
