Who's seen the movie "Blade Runner" with Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer, directed by Ridley Scott?  If you're really into the movie, then you know it was inspired by Philip K. Dick's novel, "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?"  Whether you liked it or not, the cool thing is Boom! Studios is bringing the story to comics.  They're not just doing a quick mini-series adaption.  It's going to be a whopping twenty-four issue maxi-series.

It gets better.  Issue #1 includes "Backmatter" by Warren Ellis.  There will be four covers to choose from including art by Bill Sienkiewicz, Dennis Calero, Scott Keating and Moritat.
DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP? takes place in a world where San Francisco lies under a cloud of radioactive dust. The World War has killed millions, driving entire species to extinction and sending mankind off-planet. Those who remained coveted any living creature, and for people who couldn’t afford one, companies built incredibly realistic fakes: horses, birds, cats, sheep… even humans. Rick Deckard is an officially sanctioned bounty hunter tasked to find six rogue androids — they’re machines, that not only look, sound, and think like humans, but are clever, and most of all, dangerous just like humans.

The comic will be released in June.  What's interesting is the novel was under 300 pages.  Marvel released a comic adaption in 1982 that was only two issues.  This should really be something.  For more information, click here.

I always wished Blade Runner was made into a Graphic Novel or some kind of comic series, published under Vertigo of course. This looks pretty sweet

Ah! This looks promising, but I urge others to read the original novel. It's amazing.
