    The original warrior of Mars returns from Dynamite!

    Warlord of Mars, an enhancement of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs story, Princess of Mars! If you thought you knew the story, think again! This series will capture the grit and action of the original while expanding on it with new elements. The story is about John Carter, an ex-cavalry officer in the Confederate Army who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars! Joining him in his adventures there are Tars Tarkas, his Martian comrade, and Dejah Thoris, a Martin Princess.

    This series is written by Arvid Nelson and is illustrated by Stephen (Avengers/Invaders) Sadowski and Lui Antonio, and features covers by Alex Ross, Joe Jusko, J. Scott Campbell and Lucio Parrillo...

    Adaptions of books are in.  Instead of reading novels, Graphic Novels are taking over as the standard of what we read for leisure.  Marvel's Stephen King series maybe the most popular of the bunch.  Dynamite searched to tap into Edgar Rice Burroughs (creator of Tarzan) and his Warlord of Mars series.  This is not the first time the series has been adapted, Marvel adapted it in the 70s.  I must admit I am not familiar with the prose in which this series was adapted from.  I picked it up bec...

    Frustrated confederate veteran John Carter struggles to find his destiny in the wake of the civil war while his future alien allies thwart corruption on Mars.  The Good This is another classy Dynamite title that infuses classic heroes with dignity while still embracing their less-than-savory traits.
