    The Most Dangerous Game

I gotta say, I have not really been that impressed by this series. True, I have rated this series high in the past, but looking back I have to say, "meh". There wasn't much substance to the stories. I mean, there were some really cool moments, but when you are dealing with comics you are depending on the writers entirely for how good a series is (as aposed to having the assistance of actors and other people involved in the production of the story). The past 3 stories were alright, but I think they could have bigger, because in comics you can destroy whole universe with a shake of a pen or become the size of an atom (or smaller). You are only limited to how big a writer dares to dream. In the past 3 stories, I think they could have done more with artifacts to make them even more powerful.

However, I do believe this series was redeemed at least in my eyes by this issue. This is the best issue thus far. The story is actually one which is very interesting. It focuses on how some ancient artifacts were lost years ago and then found again (no spoiler here because you can read that in the summery btw). This is also the story of survival. I'm actually fighting with myself to not say anything which will spoil this story, because it is pretty good, but I will say it has something to do with the title of my review.

The art is a little different from the past issues, which is caused by Robert Gill taking up the art duties. The art is good, but it took a little bit for me to get used to as I have been seeing Ben Morse doing the past art work. There are some advantages and disadvantages to this new style. Some points look really cool and other times...well...not so much. I did like to see some wonderful flashy moments, such as a top hat that makes (get this....minor spoiler btw) clowns. THAT was fun!

There some nice points in this issue. The writing is wonderful and and even with a few flaws the art is pretty good. I look forward to what else they have in store for the last two issues.
