War of Kings
After the events of Secret Invasion, the Inhumans claim the leadership of the Kree, bringing them into conflict with a Shi'Ar Empire ruled by Vulcan.
War of Kings
I'm excited for the StarJammers involvement and the Guardians of the Galaxy.I don't want to see Blackbolt vs. Vulcan..it's Civil War all over again. One guy has no chance of winning...but he most likely will.

With all Black Bolts power, he's probably the best match-up for Vulcan out there, and Blastaar's involvement should be priceless. I wanna see a star-charged Alex take on Gladiator honestly..or maybe Adam Warlock..sooo many possibilities. I just can't wait.
This will be something of a strategic linchpin in your 2009 publishing, yes?
JQ: Yeah, we're really sorta counting on it. A lot. It will drive certain storylines in other books, and enhances our "cosmic" universe in a very big way. It will put Black Bolt out there in a very big way as well, and really define a new status quo for The Inhumans.
Y'know, really, The Inhumans are more of those characters that when they show up you go, "Oh! These guys are outrageous!" But outside of the Paul Jenkins/Jae Lee 12-issue maxi-series from about 10 years ago, it's hard to really put your finger on a really successful Inhumans run, Inhumans story. So we're hoping that this is a thing that really brings The Inhumans to the forefront, and we can make a go of it. It really is an incredible, epic story we have going here, and I think you're going to see Black Bolt in a whole new light by the time it's done.
Oh! Oh! And there's a traitor in the midst.
JM: A traitor in The Inhumans?
JQ: Poss-i-bly.
JM: Lockjaw.
JQ: You knew? No, not Lockjaw. Dogs are inherently trustworthy. Cats, on the other hand, are traitorous, belligerent, little demons.
JM: And we've established you can always trust the monkey. I gotta tell you, man, speaking of cats—some friends asked me to make this a Twitter-vention. They think you're getting out of hand.
JQ: I may be. I may just be. Now my cat has a Twitter account. And I think he has close to over 100 followers.
JM: How does a cat do that? How can it reach the space bar? There's no thumb!
JQ: Yeah, I know…
JM: Is it the dewclaw?
JQ: Yeah, he's still go the dewclaws. And he's not very nice to me. He's very nasty. Check it out.
"I wonder who the traitor isThe traitor among who? The Guardians of the Galaxy?

"Anyone read X-Men: Kingbreaker #2 here?Yep! I liked it, I loved the ending. Havok & Polaris are my favorite couple, they;re so great together. Can;t wait for the next issue.
"
I can't wait to read this. I bought the one shot and loved it, this is the only reason I buy Marvel now.
"I haven't followed Annihilation enough to be excited about WOK."You would be better served so far by reading Uncanny X-Men: Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire, Silent War, and Inhumans: Secret Invasion. Reading Annihilation: Conquest could be helpful, but IMO, not necessary, so far.
Things are shaping up really interesting. First I thought this was going to be your Vulcan vs the world but The Inhumans taking the Kree as their subjects, Blastar making his play thru the Negative Zone. Adam Warlock leading the Church of Truth. Worldmind of the Nova Force striking out on its own.
This should be a very interesting read. especially considering that Osborn now represents the guy to beat in regards of earth just as Tony supposedly was in face of the Skrull threat.
Spoilers alert!
In the latest Guardians of the Galaxy, Starhawk says this:
Can't you feel it? Can't you hear it?
The king with no words has screamed in defiance, and his cry has split the universe in half.
It's starting...
...The war that end everything.
I think it's pretty safe to say the king with no words is Black Bolt, and I guess War of Kings is gonna have some pretty major consequences for the timeline.

"WAR OF KINGS: DARKHAWK # 2I think it is kind of cool how Darkhawk was complaining how he was always small time in Secret Invasion and now he is in the War of Kings. He may have gotten more than he bargained for.
