I know war machine has had some ladies in the past but none really stand out but now he is a Secret Avenger now and I think he should get a notable love interest but who should it be

That was during House of M he was with Black Cat.I think that was just the conditions of the comic.As far as I know Felicia never showed interest in Cage before then.

I think he was suggesting that Black Cat is a bad choice for War Machine because Cage has already been with her.

Why does he have to have a girl at all? I think he makes for a fine solo character and it wouldn't add anything to his character if he had a gf. As a Secret Avenger he probably will be too busy to explore a relationship anyway.

Why does any character have to have a girl? They don't  but relationships between characters can be really intereseting and can also help develop a character plus all work and no play is boring

i think y'all are talking about tigra and luke cage in the house of m story arc. i think it would be interesting if war machine and pepper potts started developing a relationship  a of and on relationship and sometime later they admit that they love each other.
