There were no major action sequences in this first issue, but i'm sure as hell that Millar is saving some mass-destruction issues out there... I was looking forward to read some military-based books, and this one meets my expectations.
That's a question that will be Answered by Mark Millar and tony Harris as this comic book charges its way into comic book shops
The first issue of War Heroes by Mark Millar, is a story about the U.S. military and their ability to give their soldiers super powers. This concept of realism meeting the unrealistic has always fascinated me, and they pull it off perfectly. For a first issue it is expected for their not to be much action, the only gripe i have. This issue does a great job of setting up story, context, and characters. It just leaves me wanting more and more; which i will just have to wait for. I suppose my only gripe is my own impatience. It seems like all Mark Millar projects take a longer than average time for new issues to come out, i guess we will all just have to wait. In the meantime i whole-heartedly recommend checking this one out!
