Scrooges sister. Matilda is the middle child of the McDuck family. Unlike Scrooge and Hortense, Matilda does not have much of a temper. She served as administrator of Scrooge's Money bin from c. 1902 to 1930.

The character himself has rarely appeared in stories. He was the father of Clinton Coot. His grandchildren included Elvira "Grandma Duck" Coot and Casey Coot.
