Taking on the name Kid Flash in honor of his hero, The Flash Barry Allen his Uncle, Wally West would eventually become The Flash after the death of his mentor. Wally was an original member of the Teen Titans, a member of the JLA and the fastest man alive. He has yet to appear in the new 52.

Wally West should still come back to the new DCU

Wally West has been an important asset to the Flash legacy since he was the Flash for 20+ years, I think they should include him in the New DCU. I don't care if he's THE Flash, I just care that he is involved in the future of Flash.

I hope he comes back but maybe as the Dc reboot goes on we will see him.

I don't really like him that much so it doesn't matter to me. As long as Barry is still The Flash, I'm happy. DC can do whatever they want with Wally.

I think DC tried to appease Wally fans by making him Kid Flash in Young Justice. I guess that hasn't worked...

My understanding is that the makers of Young Justice didn't really cross wires with the DCnU staff very much. The Teen Titans writer said he didn't look at their portrayals at all when he designed his own team. They wouldn't necessarily have anything to do with each other.

Maybe they should give him a new name and costume.

That way, he won't be The Flash, and it won't be confusing to new readers.

I refuse to pick up any Flash related titles until they bring Wally back.

Wally West is, I understand, a loved character and I do like him, but I also like Barry Allen. I just wish people would leave behind their feelings, and just accept the reboot and Barry and support the series.

That's a little silly if you don't mind me saying. Barry is expertly written by Francis Manapul and the art is simply gorgeous.

You should give it a try ;)

This, DC know's he has a huge fan base, and have said he WILL come back, just be patient.

Well, then you sure are missing out. Barry's a great character and his series is worth-reading.

I think they're just trying to focus on the big guys first. They'll bring him back eventually.

Agreed, let's just wait. He's a popular character, they wouldn't simply get rid of him.
