Pretty much since the New 52 started, we've seen a lot of "Where is ___?" over characters that have gone missing. One of those commonly asked is Wally West.

For many of today's readers, Wally was the Flash they grew up with since Barry Allen, the original (not counting Jay), died in 1985. It makes sense that with Barry back, having two Flashes in a new universe could be a bit much.

Dan DiDio, co-publisher of DC Comics, on Christmas Day, posted the following message on his Facebook page.

"Merry Christmas to Everyone! Even you Wally. maybe I'll see you in the New Year."

Now this could just be a tease. Dan could be joking. Or maybe with the mention of Garth in AQUAMAN #14, there could be something in the works.

It's likely nothing but we won't give up hope.

Bring him back!

I don't see it happening. What are they going to come up with a new persona for him? I mean why would they kill off Barry again at this point

I can't conceive of a way in which Wally comes back without major altercations that change him for the worse.

I'm so not putting all my eggs into one basket on this. Until I see actual proof that Wally is in this new reality, I'm not believing anything. Besides, this could all be one awesome bait and switch maneuver.

Daniel West has shown up and I prefer Daniel West and Wally West to be brothers and both can have super speed but they don't have to be super heroes so Barry is still the only Flash. Daniel West can be the new Zoom. For Donna Troy, the Wonder Woman writer seems to have zero interest in Steve, Etta, Cheetah, Cassie and Donna so it could be a while before we see Donna unless Donna shows up in Justice League first from Geoff Johns which is unlikely.

I just can't bring myself to like Wally all that much, but I do hope he comes back for the fans. A lot of ppl grew up with him being the Flash. I think Dan knows that, and that he is planning something (otherwise he wouldn't just throw this out there).

Can Ted Kord fans also expect a stocking stuffer? At least a fridge stuffer?

Wally has always been a popular character. He is a fan favorite on Young Justice so, it would only make sense for DC to capitalize on Wally's recent surge in popularity with introducing him into the new 52. Dan wouldn't say anything about Wally without reason.

Didio just did that to try to drum up some hype away from Marvel and the AMS 700 issue. Even if it is getting a ton of hate its still in the press.

Fire Lobdell from Teen Titans, make a new team with Raven (not written by Dan Didion), Garth, Stephanie brown (and maybe Damian?) and move from there. PLEASE.

Would be interesting to see a Giant-Size X-Men approach with these characters. Say the entire League goes missing. Dick activates Batman's "Outsider" protocol or some such, gathering a group of unknown young heroes... Would be fun for a new take on the old-school Titans.

they might be thinking of making the first incarnation of titans(that does not exist)into some secret(government maybe)organization...possible??and because of that wally has been hiding all this time??

Cassandra Cain can probably be reintroduced as working with David Cain and both Cains should make great Batman villains.

I REALLY like this idea! Bringing back the Outsiders in this way with the old-school titans would be awesome! Maybe have Dick, Vic, and Kory start it together. It would mean losing Kory on RHATO which would be a little sad but if it was for something like this I wouldn't care!

I like Barry over Wally, so i dont want him back unless he will be another type of hero i really dont want two flashes.

Garth is already back. As for Mia, maybe she hooked up with Connor Hawke and they both lived happily ever after.

uggh, hate that idea (no offense). Luckily the outsiders are already coming back in Katana's series

Honestly, i think there was original version of the teen titans roster with Grayson, Roy, Kory, ect. on it but instead of calling themselves Teen Titans i think the new 52 is going to refer to them as Young Justice. It make sense with popularity surge of the Young Justice cartoon.

Instead of Teen Titans, it is also possible to use the Justice League brand name by using the group name Young Justice League or Justice League Academy for Superboy, Tim, Bart and Cassie. The adults Dick, Wally and Donna can use the name Titans since they are not teens anymore.

I don't really care about most of those characters. Please just bring back Montoya.

What BS. The DC editors seem intent on consistently stringing along fans of the forgotten (Wally, Cass, Steph) with false hope and vague teases, only to never have it come to fruition. It's complete and utter bullhockey. I'll believe it when I see it, in the form of him being back in comics.
