Adrian Toomes is an old villain of Spider-Man that use a flying harness to terrorize New York City.
Origin
Adrian Toomes is an electrical engineer who was working on a flight harness with his partner worked in th finances. One day, he found out that his partner is embezzling their money and in a fit of rage, Adrian took the suit and destroyed their business.
One several occasions, he battled with Spider-Man, but he always get defeated. So, he heeded the call of Doctor Octopus and became one of the founding members of the Sinister Six. When he was diagnosed with cancer due to his exposure to the chemicals that power his flight suit, he stumbled into a plot formulated by the Green Goblin and the Chameleon to drive Spider-Man into insanity by using robots posing as Peter Parker's parents. When Adrian absorbed the artificial life force of the robot Mary Parker, it gave him youth and cured him of his cancer. When the Vulture tried to attacked a man named David Kalen, he didn't know that he has the power of death touch. During the fight, Adrian age began to wither and turned him into an old man again, because of Kalen's power affecting his anatomy.
During the Civil War, the Vulture was caught by Captain America, along with Grim Reaper and the Trapster. When Spider-Man defected to the Secret Avengers, Adrian was assign to catch him and SHIELD gave back his harness. When Vulture attacked Spider-Man, he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital by Peter. He found out that Adrian suffered a stroke and the whole left side of his body is paralyzed. Recently, Vulture was one of Alyosha Kravinoff captive in a zoo-theme prison.
Powers and Abilities
The vulture's harness augments his physical strength, durability, speed and agility despite his age. However the vulture's key ability is his intellect. Highly skilled in mechanical engineering and very crafty, cunning and deceptive usually works in his hand.
The vulture often uses weapons as an automated hand gun and new inventions and weapons.
Recently, the Vulture has been rejuvenated and has changed his look to a more streamlined outfit, complete with razor sharp wings.

Ultimate Universe
The Vulture was a SHIELD agent but when kicked out he started working for Roxxon. In Roxxon he got his vulture suit and during a battle with the Silver Sable he was introduced to Spider-Man. Later when the Green Goblin got out of SHIELD so did the Vulture. He was later recaptured by Captain America.
Marvel 1602
In the year 1602, warriors loyal to Otto von Doom wear similar suits just like the earth-616 Vulture.

In the year 2099, Vulture 2099 is an enemy of Spider-Man 2099. He is a cannibal, the leader of the group "Freakers".

In this reality, the Vulture is a zombie and is with a zombified Sinister Six. He was destroyed by the Silver Surfer.
