So when I heard Ron Marz was leaving the series, I wasn't to upset. Not that I thought he was doing a bad job, I just thought that with as new as this series was, it would be hard to really make a mess of things. I think I may have been wrong.Ron, where are you?Voodoo has been one of my favorite New 52 titles, that is until this issue. With the cliffhanger form last issue, I was intrigued by where things could go. Instead, we end up with a jumble that is more train wreck than a good comic. I get...

    A woman scorned...twice! 0

(No Spoilers)Josh Williamson keeps the roller coaster ride going as he feeds off the shocking revelation at the end of last issue. Not only do we get a great mix of action and intrigue in this issue, but we also get some great crossover information between title and the Stormwatch and Grifter titles. Williamson is showing that he's got more up his sleeve where Voodoo's concerned. The direction Williamson choose to take was definitely a big surprise. There were many who were concerned about his ch...

Tries Its Hardest To Have No Logic 1

And there we go. All traces of what little excellence Voodoo once had are gone. No more fancy John Tyler Christopher covers, instead we have this boring and generic pice of blandness. To be fair, the quality of the art on the cover is quite nice. I want to see more of it somewhere. But the overall design is crowded and uninspired. And Voodoo's boobs have gotten bigger. And she's in a much more typical comic book 'sexy showing off T&A pose. Sigh.Oh boy... and the new direction continues to ma...

    The Boys Upstairs 12

For those that are reading and following this series (and there should really be a lot more than there are) this issue signifies a bit of a hairpin turn from what has past thus far.  It is one of the most unusual plots I have read, in that there is an evil twin (who is the character that we have been following), who herself seems on a path to redemption, whereas the original non-cloned version is found and reveals herself as somewhat of a hero as well.  Occurring parallel to this is a similar pl...

    Voodoo as femme fatale 0

i respect these writers for conveying who Voodoo truly is- a femme fatale/temptress. The delilah/queen of sheba archetype has been with her all along. However the murder she does it too much and seems inappropriately and poorly written. It is forced and makes the story kind of boring. As for all her comics, we have had to guess who she is rather than being given adequate character development...
