When Dr Doom needed troops for his Secret Wars, he recruited Volcana and Titania. Doom used the technology provided by the Beyonder and imbued them both with their powers. Volcana fell in love with Owen Reece the Molecule Man during their time there and the villains would stay in Volcana's apartment while they returned home from the battleworld the Beyonder created.
Originally limited to her human form and her plasma form, in which she could project heat blasts, she also developed a super-strong stone form and an ash form.
