Those who have turned their backs on the way of the Soul Reapers and gained the powers of the Hollow, mysterious and dangerous, they are the Vizards. Edit
Apperance
The Vizard look like normal people, except for when they use their full powers. A Vizard is a Soul Reaper, or their kin, who have turned their backs on the way of the Soul Reapers and have gained the powers of the Hollows. Vizards have the similar appearance of a human until they put on their "Masks." The Vizards "masks" are unique to the person who wears them much like a Hollow's. The "masks" are made of a white bone like substance that covers the person's full face or more of their head. Along with the masks the Viards eyes transform. The whites in their eyes turn black and the retnas turn gold.
Involvement.
Arrancar Story line
The Vizards reveal themselves to Ichigo and the others towards the beginning of the Arrancar story arc. The mysterious team arrives and offers Ichigo more, but he has to overcome the darkness of his inner Hollow. During the onset of the storyline Ichigo is confronted by his weakness and turns to the team of Vizards for help. After showing their real power to Ichigo he realizes he needs their help and undergoes their training.
Turn Back the Pendulum
It is revealed during a re- cap story that the Vizards were all once Captains or Lieutenants in the Soul Society who fell victim to an attack by Aizen 100 years earlier to set up the power structure he would need. Fortunately for the Vizards Kisuke Urahara was one of their allies and managed to save them from the Hollowfication process.
Becoming a Vizard
When a person who already had Soul Reaper power decide to develop their powers by using Hollow powers that they have some requirements that must be met. If a person attempts to gain access to their Inner Hollow's powers they have to first overcome their Inner Hollow. When the Vizrds begin to train Ichigo they make him use up all his spirit energy and then put him in a form of hypnosis. While Ichigo himself is unconcious his Inner Hollow begins to try and overcome his body. If the person being trained can't overcome their Inner Hollow, then they are consumed and become a Hollow. While the person is fighting their Inner Hollow their body is begins to awaken and act as a Hollow. While the body is transformed the other Vizards trap them in a barrier and begin to attack. This is done for two reasons, 1- Vizrds are incredibly powerful, and so are the Hollows they produce. 2- If the person can't win they are killed. When the person overcomes their Inner Hollow they are granted the full power of their Bankai and their Inner Hollow's full abilities.
Rankings
A Vizards rank amongst the others is determined by the amount of time that they spent overcoming their inner Hollows.
Powers and Abilities
A Vizard has various abilities that a Soul Reaper does, but their overall effectiveness at such skill is dependent on the Vizards dedication to that skill. Where as some Vizards excel at Kidou, others are better at using their flashstep and zanpakuto skills. Aside from the use of a Soul Reaper's abilities like Kidou, Feet and hand techniques, and the use of Zanpakutos, Vizards can use abilities like a Hollow. Vizards can use the ceroe blast and boost their strength, speed, and spiritual powers.
