    Good Knight!

    THE GOOD

I like that the story continued nicely from the last issue, kept pace and looks like it is on a nice track to conclude in two more issues. The plot is not all over the place, there are defined (though possibly too many) players and definite direction to the arc. The writing and art were solid.

I did especially like the very candid reactions that the Purple Man and Headhunter expressed after witnessing the interaction between Misty and Paladin at the end of the issue. It will be interesting to see things play out.

    THE BAD

Does everything happen in the Meat Packing District in NYC? Seriously, I am surprised they didn't see Cable and the Avengers battling it out.

Other than a lack of creativity for the opening location in this comic (and Avengers: X-Sanction #2), there was only a little noticeable over-played campiness - then again, maybe that is how this series is supposed to feel. Either way, I didn't notice anything horribly wrong with this issue.

    THE VERDICT

Recommended. This issue is a great follow-up to the first issue. The cover may be a bit deceiving, but the book certainly packs a full cast of colorful characters. I am not sure why they have put so much focus on Tiger Shark... maybe the creative team wrote this mini during "Shark Week". ;)

Either way, I think this flowed nicely from the last issue, keeping up the pace and is heading in the right direction to finish in another two issues. Not saying that everything will be resolved, but the plot seems to be on course and just the right amount of detail has been spilled onto the pages of both issues so far. I look forward to the continuation and conclusion of this mini-arc.

The rival crews continue to fight as The Purple Man’s plans continue to be disrupted. He continues to throw money at the problem by trying to recruit members of the rival crew while Misty Knight appears to be losing a grip on her morality.GoodThis is a solid issue. Abnett and Lanning continue the ongoing battle between rival crews as more an more villains are introduced into the fray. There’s great action scenes with good introductions and great characterisation of the villains. The Purple Man’s...
