This book is quite simply the origin of Vigilante.  Almost the whole book takes place between the death of his family and before he becomes the Vigilante.  The whole thing is a story is told by Adrian Chase who tells the story to Theresa Gomez and J. J. Davis.

Although there is very little that takes place besides the origin there are three important side stories.  Adrian thinks about becoming a judge.  Cannon and Saber make an unbelievable escape and the New York City gangs all unite under the Controller.

This is a really disappointing issue but that said this is still a great series.  A bad book for this group is better than the best of others.  That is why I gave it three stars out of five.  I recommend this book and more importantly this series.  Any series is going to have higher and lower points and this is a low one but the series is great pick it up.  One more highlight to this book is the art and that is awesome.  SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content. The disappointing part...
