I have loved this crossover. I really have enjoyed "Whiskey Media" week, haha. Good review.

Edit: I was thinking about the issues with pacing and it kind of reminds me of Sinestro Corps War. It's great, getting good reviews, bringing people back to a universe (in this case, X-Men), but it could be condensed. That said, this event has really brought me back to the X-Universe, so I can't hate too much on that.

ive actually been liking this a lot. This is better than siege for me.
I really like Norm. and i like how youre bring other people into the mix.
But Norm...i saw the digital comics video you were apart of...
VIVA LA RESISTANCE!!!

Posted by advocatefish

Norms mic is messed up.

i didnt even noticed her leg was missing. wow.

Great review, bring in more Norman, he has a great perspective on things! (You guys should do every issue like this)

Posted by thetitan0

this is a great crossover and it's building anticipation.

Posted by carnivalofsins00

Namor, Magneto, and Kitty need to show up!!!!

Posted by advocatefish

I actually like the build up. And not even a boring build up, theyre knocking important things out in each issue.

And i  always hate when a story is rush and youre just left with lacking stuff (cough! Siege, Cough! Ultimate avengers)

I hope kitty comes soon.

Does it look liked Greg Land sort of changed his art a bit? If he did, it was still terrible, but, I'm just curious.

This event has been awesome so far...Im picking up all 14 chapters

@ldg220:
it really has
the lead up to this event is what made me get reacquainted with the X-Men universe

@hero vs. villian: it often depends on the inker and colorist. i think land has definitely improved from his pure tracing days, but his choice of reference models is still cheesy, and i think his characters pose more than they move.

Death never really matters with Marvel or DC. None of the biggest publishers take death in comics all the seriously. Somewhere and someday, a writer will come along and reverse a death.

Was something wrong with the resolution of this clip? This one seems a little more fuzzy then the previous movies.

What is with Greg Land? Rogue looks like Pamela Anderson in that image. I always hate it when they draw Logan and Scott with the same body type. Cyclops is not suppose to be that massively buff. He should be more lean. It makes more sense for Wolverine t be bulked out. His muscle structure needs to move around bones covered in metal.

Norm did a good job here.

@norman: He does a lot of posing, and his "porn" acusations can be seen in his female characters like Emma Frost from time to time.

  Rogue looks good.

This event is a lot better than I expected. Reading X-force has gotten me back into loving the X-men again, and I am glad I came back at the time of such an interesting event. I do agree with G-man, thought. This could have just been a one-shot, much like Second Coming, and just have a month of books dedicated to the event. It is only issue four, people are dying(not a bad thing at all) and Cable and Hope have already almost been captured. I just hope the rest of the story is as good as the first four parts. Something tells me the middle is going to feel fillerish, and the ending is going to be mediocre.

karma can now be as badaass as this character...hell, yeah!

I felt that Utopia was condensed and the action and the pacing suffered because of it. At least here we get plenty of fight scenes and it isnt all rushed into a mini series. Each issue has offered something to the story and the issues are coming out pretty quick and on time.

I miss the 5'3 days of wolverine too! I always felt that was a huge reason why he is so badass. A guy who could shop in kids' department but could tare "spit" up!

I know it was Karma's turn on the New Mutants roster to have something bad happen to her, but I have a feeling her injury will have some important consequences. Maybe leading to a secondary mutation with the presence of Hope.

X'ian! God, NOOOOOO! First Anole loses his arm, and now Karma loses her leg? What's with the maiming of the gay characters? Coincidence? Probably not, but what a bummer. :(

Posted by pixelized

What is Scott's plan for Hope anyway? Grab the girl, give her water and sunlight until she produces a miracle??

I so hate Karma's leg loss. In New Mutants it looked like she was just stabbed through it and now the entire thing is gone. Malarkey.

I havent read any of second coming but what ive seen so far, but doesnt seem to grab me.
I think it's becuase i'm not so keen on any of the artists who are working on it. apart from david finch, but that hes only done one issue on it =(

1) where is Babs?
2) Norms is great.

Sooo, any guests from Giant Bomb & Anime Vice in the near future? :D

Okay, I actually read now Uncanny X-Men and X-Force. This review made me really excited so that I´m considering picking up the other books as well but I´d like to know: Are the other two books worth to be picked up? I mean apart from Second Coming? I don´t want to start these just to cancel them after the big event.

I Think a lot of people are looking at the different chapters as Tie Ins rather than the next part of the story. If you don't pick up the other two books, you may miss out on major parts of the story arc. The other books may focus a little more on how the specific team handles what's happening, but it's all moving the plot forward.

Great review.  Agreed with everything.  And I missed the Greg Horn bashing.

My only problem is that G-Man can't get over how many chapters there are.  We're getting 1 to 2 chapters every Wednesday.  Blackest Night was over a nine month span and CV was complaining about how it wasn't enough at some points.  Guys, c'mon.  Enjoy this arc.  I agree with Norm in that there's a lot of chapters and a few major players in the X-Universe currently that havn't gotten into the fray.  Be patiant G-Man, it'll rock.

We are missing an Anime Vice crossover!

I haven't read this issue! I HAVE to read this issue!
I do have to say that Greg Land's art... although copy/paste it's starting to look a lot less bad as it did on the begining of the 500s  in Uncanny X-Men

Can somebody hit me with a spoiler about who dies? The nearest comic shot is 45 minutes away from me, so I won't be able to read this issue for quite a while. There has been a lot of talk about my favorite character possibly being the one to die, and I just want to know if it's that character or not. So can somebody please tell me who died?

Could your favorite character be described as a Glamazon??

If not then you're in the clear.

I actually thought the same thing until I read an issue or two. Then I read them in order and as an event, it is pretty good. I do agree with G-man, though. I am not sure how they are going to make this span thirteen chapters.

Wow, I'm surprised your saying its going down hill, I feel the exact opposite I love this and the more issues the better. Frankly i love that there is a large issue count but they are releasing like 5 or 6 chapters a month which is again awesome!  f***ing love this story!

Norm has tiny hands.

I LOVED this issue. WARLOCK is a freakin Beast!  5/5

I really liked Second Coming crossover. And Karma got lucky - she could lose more than just one leg.
