Great Review Babs!!!! Honestly I discovered Jason Todd 2 months ago by reading a Death In The Family for the first time and was hooked to the character. Then I asked what would be a good Jason Todd comic and he suggested the then new Red Hood #1 and since then I have been hooked to This mini series and love how the Jason Todd character is developing here to his own sense of Justice..

So Bruce Wayne is dead to the world. Dick Grayson is Batman.  Isn't the Red Hood still dead?  I think Jason Todd was ONLY cool when he was the Red Hood... Haven't read this series but do know the story.  Check out Under the Red Hood for some of the deets.

He's in jail. Not dead.

Very well done review. It was succinct, informative, and you gave some nice advice of how to read. You did quite well in this one, Babs. It's obvious that this is a book you are very much enjoying.

For some reason I could not stop looking at Sara's head and thinking how I didn't like the way her hair was.

Jason Todd is the man

Okay, I'm confused. How are you supposed to pronounce Ra's al Ghul? Sometimes I hear it pronounced like "Raws al Ghul" and sometimes I hear it pronounced like "Raysh al Ghul"

Another great review. I can't believe how much better and more informative these are now. Brilliant job.

I have to agree, this issue is another great look at Jason Todd becoming the Red Hood. Judd Winnick is the only guy who has written Todd well and this just proves how well he knows the character. Superb stuff and I hope other writers are reading this and taking note of how the character should be handled.

Brilliant.

@Daredevilwithoutfear:  Thanks! I really enjoy this book and I have been having a lot of fun reading it. I hope that readers who aren't familiar with/crazy about Jason Todd's character will give this series a chance! :)

@FoxxFireArt: Thanks! I think sometimes it's easier to talk about an issue when you really enjoy it/have really been enjoying the series. :)

@Terrific_T: I'm pretty sure most people would say I pronounced it incorrectly, but it's the way I grew up saying it, so I sometimes forget it is pronounced "Raysh" and not "Raahs." Train of thought moment, I wasn't thinking and old habits die hard.

@Secret Identity: Thank you :)

@Babs:  This issue was great. I didn't think that Jason would be that of a good character, but once I've read more about Jason and the Lost Days issues, he started to look more awesome =)
Nice review Babs. Keep it up =)

i am loving this.

I am really happy they released this not long after Morrison's depiction of Jason in his Batman and Robin run so that things could be clarified because I wasn't really a fan of that view of the character.I really wish he could have his own book after this to carry some momentum and make him "DC's Punisher" I don't mean to sell Jason short or give him a shtick but the idea of a Batman that kills is pretty exciting. And while I think Vigilante is alright he could never support his own on-going and sell as well as Red Hood would.

i dont know if i should keep picking this up. it wasnt bad, i just havent read anything else with Jason Todd. I did see Under the Red Hood but thats it. what do you think Babs?

This review was far better, content-wise, than any Unscripted I've seen yet. Concise, to the point, with good criticism. Works better than the two of you together, imo.

@Babs:  Okay, cool. Thanks for the clarification. :)

@lostlantern13:  haha! Thanks! So, it's definitely "Raysh" then.

If you like Jason Todd, you'll enjoy this. Also, if you've watched the latest DC movie "Under the Red Hood" you might like this as well. :)

I have got to read Red Hood lost days.

I LOVE the way this series is written... my only problem is Jason Todd himself. I still don't like the fact that he was brought back. He was a great dead character, like Uncle Ben, the Robin that died and all that. At least now we're geting a better Jason, more psychologically complex and better built as a character.

PS: Is is just me, or writers now are portraying Talia in a waaaay more negative light? She had been far more likable since the end of Batman and Son, but now she's extremely... "bossy".

@Joey Ravn: The character himself is far more interesting than the symbol he represents, which was all he really was dead: a symbol.

I loved this. I really hope it does well. The only flaw I could think of is that I wish we were getting more meat, but it's an excellent character study.

seing talia sleep with some random guy also threw me off abit really felt out of character of her having sex with someone who wasnt meant to be the new leader.

After watching Under the Red Hood a week ago, Jason Todd has been my newest fascination.

I had been waiting for the local shop to get more copies of the first issue, which they did this week.  Picked up all three issues, and I'm blown away by how damn good this story is.  It actually makes me want to pick up the Justice League: Generation Lost stuff just because Winick is attached to that as well.

This third issue specifically was dead on the money with its pacing, art, tone, and character developments.  It's great to see these multiple sides of Talia, as it makes you remember that she actually is human.  Grant Morrison has almost written her as nothing more than a douche and a half with no humanity at all in her.  Then again, this is taking place in the past, but still...  I also like the way that Jason is being developed, as it feels like an honest and natural progression.

I agree that the general review was great, but at the same time...and not to be a negative nancy...the name of the feature is "Unscripted".  This didn't necessarily seem totally "unscripted".  Personally, though, I like the single reviews from G-Man and Babs more than the dual reviews, as dual reviews seem hard to do.  You're always afraid of talking over other people and interrupting a thought, and it can just be awkward at times I think.
