Great Review guys. I quite liked Clint when he was Ronin.
Oh crap! Here comes the haters! =P

I was thinking the same thing the better version of green arrow and black canary

I love Hawkeye, Clint is such a great character to read, I really loved the Reunion mini, and I liked how Bendis was writing him during New Avengers and how he is in Avengers. I'm really not a big Mockingbird fan, I like her character, I like her and Clint's interactions, but I really like this book because of Hawkeye.

Great review guys! :D

great review.
I am glad I wasn't miss reading that Hawkeye is a good standup moral guy.
I do like him better than Green Arrow.  Did it have the whole Mr and Mrs X feel to them like  Jim McCann mentioned?
cool, I have it on hold.  I have a huge pile I have to work through that is on hold.  But I will get that eventually.  I like the art.
I remember in one issue of West Coast Avengers Hawkeye and US Agent were in the hospital, and I guess to tell them apart the artist drew them in their hospital gowns but wearing their masks.  It was odd to see them in nothing but their masks.

Clint was also with Wasp (Disassembled reveled a pregnancy scare) and Scarlet Witch and at least was very flirtatious with She-Hulk.

Actually I agree with you!
Since I am fairly new to the Avengers... The Clint Barton I met was Ronin not Hawkeye... My first intro to Hawkeye was the Ultimate Universe version of Clint... which both are totally different characters!

I wanted to know if @Babs thought that Mockingbird can be categorized as a  strong female character... but she didn't mention it much.
I am glad that Tony is excited for the title because I care for the characters as well.... (Maybe not as much as G-Man) and I loved the Reunion, I actually think it might be my favorite mini after Joe the Barbarian.

Great review guys!

@cmaprice: Yeah, they even made an alternate universe where they had a child together who became a young avenger.  He was a arrow guy like his father but hulking and green like his mother.

GOSH, why is Ollie always being thrown under the bus!?  Green Arrow is awesome!
He is so misunderstood and it makes me sad T___T.

G-Man, in the old editions of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, Hawkeye's arrows are said to be notch-coded so that he can tell which ones are which by feeling the notches on the shafts.

Interesting his sense of touch is so keen as to discern that info with such speed and precision while wearing those thick gloves. Heh.

Bat even looks cute in her Joey Ramone costume

Clint's had more chicks than a poultry farm since Bobbi supposedly died.  So yeah, I'd like to see that touched upon, too.

That is quite the interesting moral dilemma. Though she didn't kill him. She just refused to save him. While I get why Hawkeye could be upset about that. She needs a break there.Especially considering what Hawkeye tried with Scarlet Witch. She killed him and brought him back.

Crossfire looks like some sort of Swedish extremist. With the red cross on his chest. I can't tell whether I am suppose to feel intimidated, or go to him to ask where I donate blood. He looks like a mascot for the blood drive.

Emma is actually a brunette, but dyed blond.

i liked the issue alot ... i love almost every version of clint. Hawkeye,Ronin, ultimate, old version.

Clearly I'm biased, but I have to rise up and defend Green Arrow. He's been seriously mishandled in recent years.  Oliver was a principled and layered character for years.  Hawkeye seems like a bland cardboard cutout to me next to OQ.

I've always liked Mockingbird and the Hawkeye Mockingbird pairing, but they arelike bland knock-offs of  Green Arrow /Black Canary. I'm looking forward to this series fleshing out both Bobbie and Clint's characters.

I hardly know anything about the two...have to fix that!

Well I don't know if his gloves are that thick. Its not like he's out there in wool mittens.

This was a great read I like Hawkeye and Mockingbirds comics separately and together . I guess it's because the writers really focus on their dynamics and characterization because they aren't super-powered, whatever it is I draws me in every time I read Hawkeye or Mockingbird

Posted by Shadowdoggy

I'm a big West Coast Avengers fan
it's one of the books I miss the most
so I was SUPER stoked when Bobbi was suddenly brought back to life
I hope this series keeps it's momentum, because there's a lot of potential good there
can't wait to see what happens next

I forgot Clint was with Moonstone once. but I know recently he been with (slept with) the Scarlet Witch and Ecco

Posted by Benzo

Can't wait to read this!!!! :P Gotta love Hawkeye and Mockingbird!!! :D

Posted by the_orange_crush

Well done issue. For me, the best part of this first issue is the dynamic between Hawkeye and Mockingbird. You have their somewhat complicated relationship that they are trying to work on, but with all the secrets and the past coming back, it's definitely interesting to see how their relationship holds up. Can't wait for the second issue!

Posted by NeoMantis

Considering this book features characters I care next to nothing about I actually enjoyed this issue a surprising amount.

I really preferred Clint as Ronin personally but I knew he would have to go back to Hawkeye eventually. I just wish that costume wasn't so... purple.

Posted by HexThis

Yeah, I love these two together. I think it's because relationships have really been on the back burner lately with more preference for epic wars and emphasis on all the Marvel teams becoming armies. It's nice to see something centric around a couple, it's lighthearted in it's effect on the rest of the MU but still deals with heavy things as well- I like it.

I guess Clint has told Bobbi about his affair with Wanda though because he did mention that at one point in their last series. I'm actually wondering what will happen when Wanda returns for the Children's Crusade because Clint has had a thing for her since the very beginning and his pursuit of her recently shows he still has an attachment to her. But I'd be glad if they just ignored that altogether, if anyone's attachment to Wanda should be addressed it's Steve's being that he confronted her alone and defended her through and through.

Does no one miss Clint being Ronin??? I do. But, I guess I'll have to get over it.
Posted by Sobe Cin

my favorite part of the comic was the pym particle arrows. That was classing marvel at its best.
Posted by Grimoire

I didn't know about that history you mentioned about these characters since I don't know them well but after what you said I can't say I like Hawkeye very much. Values or whatever I don't care but if that happened to the woman I loved I wouldn't blink and eye from his death and neither should he should expect her.
