 First grade was hard for me.

I didn't mind this issue but not enough happened, it felt like a preview issue or something. Steve and Tony arguing was great and Thor telling them to leave, good times.

Also there was one problem, Clint Barton is dressed as Hawkeye. Did he strip Bullseye down and change his outfit?

Guess being "first" makes it difficult to make an intelligent comment about the video or review.

On-Topic: Good stuff, G-Man, Babs. Whenever there's arguments between characters like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, it either works or doesn't work in the story. Good review. I'll get this book real soon.

It looks good I can't wait to get it.

Great review guys.

I'm sooo tired of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers bickering in every comic they're in. It's really played out.

 I LOVE Alan Davis's Art.  Brilliant.  The story was fun too.  I started thinking about the movie too,  Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans arguing over how the team should be led.  Chris Evan's Cap upset at this youngster Tony Stark.  Tony Stark and Thor not really knowing how to relate since one is science and the other is magic.

I did think that Steve talking about not letting Iron Man keep the armor, at first, was him joking.  but then he wasn't smirking and he didn't say I'm joking.  And it led into a fight.

I haven't read this yet, but in the preview that Marvel put out, Clint was dressed in his Hawkeye costume. If this is really immediately following Siege, isn't this too soon for that? Does this get addressed?

I don't know. I'm not feeling that the tension between Steve and Tony is being properly vented. Partly thanks to Tony's oversight of S.H.I.E.L.D. we got Norman Osborn and Dark Reign.  I feel that there haven't been much in the way of consequences for him. Instead they took his memories of those events. As if they are trying to make him some sort of victim. Rather then owning up to his actions that made a lot of other heroes lives miserable or got them killed.

I enjoyed this comic,even thou I originally thought that it was going to suck just by looking at the siege aftermath on the cover.

 I do have to laugh as I think I've watched enough unscripted videos that I can guess with some degree of certainty what grade G-Man and Babs are going to give a book. I was dead on with this one! I knew exactly what grade they were going to give it.

But I do think this book was a nice surprise and I enjoyed it----- my grade 4/5.

i like it, thought cap was a bit of an idiot when he walked into a bar full of goblins and said he was a friend of thor's though. i thought he woulda been a little smarter than that

@TheHood: Jim McCann said that he'd be addressing this in Hawkeye & Mockingbird (although it wasn't in issue #1).

@Preacherl2k: That's great that you're starting to get a "feel" for us. This could help you when it comes to other comics that we can't get around to doing these for. You should have an idea what we like and don't and then can make your own decision whether or not to pick it up.

@DH69:  I think Cap just wants to believe everyone is good (except maybe Tony). I loved what happened after he walked in.

G-Man I'm lucky enough that my buddy owns the store so I read em all but only buy the ones I REALLY want.

It is kinda cool to see Tony in such an old suit, but overall, I don't know what to think of this series.
As you guys said, the time period where it takes place (between Siege and the new Avengers series), it's hard to actually really CARE about it.  It's also kinda hard to imagine anything really important happening in this series.
Those are my two cents, though.

This whole issue was a Big-Lip Alligator Moment.

I've seen the previews of this and may actually pick it up.
Plus every time I use the word bi-monthly there is always someone there to say "but that means every two months!", in this context I know you mean two weeks (I hope) G-man :S lol

I am so excited for this, just because Davis is one of my favourite artists. I'm glad you gave it a good review :D

How? I mean Iron Man and Steve have relatively been dead these past few years.... so how could you say you're tired of it?

I thought this was going to be a filler issue... but since apparently it isn't I will pick this up!

@sora_thekey:
Lol, the Avengers have been around a lot longer than a few years. Steve Rogers and Tony Starks have been doing their bickering routine in the Avengers for decades.

Thor can't be one of the big 3...

@UnsolvedParadox:
...Why?

Writers needed to actually read more of Iron Man' s own series before coming up with this. For someone who was only aware of the entire Civil War through newspaper clips, Tony seemed to have great awareness of what happened during his "absence". So, he is either faking (unlikely) or someone didn't do his research.

Why is Tony wearing his older armor vs. just rolling out their in his extermis armor

He didn't have Extremis at that point. Neither the armor, nor the virus that granted him all the additional abilities that go with it.

WOW....this was much better than I thought it would be, and Bendis writing was pretty good; no Bendis-speak at all ("whew") And I love the art, it has that classic comic art look and feel to it.

I might continue picking this up....or what till it's in TPB, maybe that why I can see if this entire bi-monthly was actually worth it.

 they never had a discussion about it , so better to have the discussion now in Prime then never. they have so much unresolved issues. maybe in next issue they start again. That is why is created to happen before the Heroic age . Thor didnt solve his issues with Asgard in the 'normal Avengers' .So it is good thing to solve all their stuff

@FoxxFireArt:  I couldn't agree more.
