What were you talking about? I don't remember what reason Geoff gave us for why those specfic people came back. Anyway good issue. Felt to much was going on. But, still good. Did feel rush at the end.

@JoeRiccadonna: Second to last page. Hal is talking to Barry and makes a comment about why only certain people came back.

Super psyched to get this!

I think Bab's main issue with the book will be resolved in Brightest Day

I loved it. very satisfied with the way it turned out, and panel for page it was epic.

I'm curious, and I have brought this up before. Have you all considered doing reviews of over all story arcs such as Blackest Night? Talking, perhaps, about what you felt about the experience now that you know how it basically all turned out. Favorite issues, least favorite, favorite moments, was it worth the time and money, and so on?

Oh, this review I was able to guess what the ratings were going to be for both. I'm normally off on G-Man's.

Love that little edit there near the end on her shirt. lol I was amazed Babs avoided her Aladdin reference this time.

As interesting as it is to have Heroes returned. I'm a bit more intrigued to see any Villains. Threats long thought past now revived. Also, are these heroes aware of what's been going on with their bodies to any extent or are they just suddenly aware after their deaths? Sort of along the lines of waking up from a deep sleep or coma.

@FoxxFireArt:  I would say that they are unaware based on Boomerang's reaction to Flash

@G-Man: wat reason was that?

As someone who's read Geoff Johns entire run over the past 5 years, I have to say I feel fulfilled by the story. Something I kept saying as the event wound down was how many things came full circle. That rang true in this issue: a lot of GL things and BN things coming full circle. That's why I feel satisified.

Agreed with you guys: Ivan Reis deserves A TON of praise. No delays, no drop in consistency, and he's just come out looking like an absolute star. Bravo, Ivan Reis.

As for the gripe about who was chosen....I had the same initial reaction. I thought about it, and some make sense because they had storylines throughout the entire event. As for the rest, go read DC's The Source blog if you want. It explains some and tells you what's driving Brightest Day which turns this trilogy into a 4-part story.

The arc was a long ride, the hugeness of it all got overwhelming sometimes (especially the amount of tie-ins), but maybe it just hadda be that way.  Does anyone think the whole resurrection thing was timed to coincide with easter and the rites of spring, or mere coincidence? That maybe why they skipped a month?

Overall the ending was appropriate in many ways. I guess I liked it. Some twists and surprises as well as some cheese and predictability. It worked on both mundane and allegorical levels. The fate of Black Hand was handled interestingly. Or was it? Great, now we can move on with our lives, remembering always that Ivan Reis is a god.

I thought it was a pretty cliche boring comic. I mean it was fun, but really nothing epic. Great art tho.

I am mad I haven't read this!
I will tomorrow!

This was incredible as far as the series and the review.  And no mention of BATMAN in this review???  Kudos.  I didn't think it was possible. =P

And only one page of the Book of the Black.  And that was great.

I don't get the "rushed" idea.  It's funny, because CV was asking for it when you guys sort of dumped on issues in the middle of the series claiming there wasn't enough content.
Edited by Mbecks14

Blown away with the whole series! i loved the story, the writing, the art, everything!

i dont care about the return of Hawk, Osiris, and boomerang is meh.  would have preferred some other ressurections or maybe just more. approve of the rest of them though

btw i love Tony's shirt! and this review was just funny because you're trying to talk about it without giving it away and you guys just end up making noises "and this guy ohoho and this ehhhh" lol

Edited by Xion

I loved the final issue, my only complain is that it felt rush, if they should have made the issue a few pages longer i think it would have been better, but nonetheless it was awesome and i think all those questions that weren't answer might end up being resolved in Brightest Day;

Okay, I gotta say it... When you guys do a review where you talk about what happened in the book, but don't give anything away, it's boring, and a little ridiculous.
Why talk about something without actually talking about it while we're watching? Edit it out, don't do it, or just spoil it.
A conversation that goes like this... "This guy did this thing, then he said something about someone, who lives somewhere, and anyway, long story short, events transpired".... Is not a conversation that interests me. I hope I speak for others as well. I can't be the only one who is bored by a thirteen minute video review with only about five or six minutes of an actual review
I don't say this to be mean, or to be a troll, It's constructive criticism.

Could have been better, could have been worse. It wasn't a good ending but the event overall was great, and were not even done. So right now I'm on the fence about this and will reserve my judgment for Brightest Day.

cant wait for  July 7. Than the TPB Hardcover of blackest night comes out. Can i finally read it :)

No questions were answer. 5/5

I hav never read a green lantern comic. should  i check this out when it comes out on trade?

@G-Man: Good reviews as always.  I like the background of comics you guys have setup.  Are those comics in cellophane bags?  Can you exchange comics in and out of the bags?

Right on. A review necessitates a certain amount of spoilery. ComicVine is taking it too far lately, the reviews are becoming a waste of time.

@Gregomasta: Basically they're mylar bags pinned to the wall. I switch them out each week to reflect that week's comics.

Epic storyline and great last issue. The thing I didn't like so much was the heroes and especially the villains.

Deadman saves the day after having gone missing for a long time in Blackest Night.  It should have been Hal Jordan, the Flash, Superman or maybe Batman.

The villains were so weak. Nekron just stood there and did nothing the entire last issue. Lex wasn't one of the smartest humans alive. He was more like one of the dumbest. Superman shouldn't have any problems with defeating him in the future if he is this stupid. And Sinestro wasn't so cool and powerful as I had hoped. I wished we would have seen more from him.

I really think the villains suffer a lot from Blackest Night. They were so weak. Who is going to threaten earth now?

I would give the entire storyline a 4/5.
Geoff Johns is still the best, but I need some cool villains.

@G-Man: Ah, that's an awesome wall.

I love this issue, I'd give it a 6 outta 5 lol. So amazing. Some of the new resurrections blew my mind.

@RomaTotti10: I'm sure Hector Hammond with Parallax will be a nice new villain.

Is Hector Hammond with Parallax?  When I read that part, I'm of the thought that Hammond is aware of who has Parallax, not that he's the one who has him.

BEST LINE OUT OF BLACKEST NIGHT: "The Flash? BLOODY HELL!"
I really dug the storyline, though I wish they would've included the Cyborg Superman. But, he was a big part of the Sinestro Corps. War, so I could see why they left his poor floating head out of it. Certain things happened here that made me yell, whoop, and just get upset over, so I feel like a 4.5 is a good call.

I pretty much agree with the majority here this issue was a great conclusion or at least a great segue. The art was amazing as expected, and the characters that came back are decent,a few I am very excited about the others are kinda meh, and I can't wait to see what happens with them in Brightest Day.I thought it was strange for Hal to be talking about Black Lantern Bruce at all but I think it is kind of meant to be a reminder that he is coming back soon. Overall it was a good story arc and I am satisfied with all of the twists and revelations and I am anxiously awaiting Brightest Day.

EDIT:Is that spoiler tag working right? Apparently it only works in the forum and not on the front page view.So if you want to read my full post go here.

Well, Deadman might have been gone in the main book, but he's been in Blackest Night: Batman and the Phantom Stranger revive. If you've read the tie-ins then it makes a bit more sense.

I definitely agree with the villains complaint. In a lot of my user reviews, it was a gripe that Black Hand and Nekron took a step back. Yes, I realize that Blackest Night was more about heroes confronting their past and moving on (in which case the "villians" would be themselves represented by Black Lanterns that affected them), but I had high hopes for the villains after the wonderful Green Lantern #42.

It's nice to see a book that almost everyone loved and an event that lived up to the hype.Great review and an amazing comic.

I LOVE MAX LORDDDDD!!!!

That OMAC Rucka leadin to infinite crisis.

Also my question is, are there any other people who were revived, or just "those" character.  Also, does garth comeback? WIll Aquaman feel guilty for his black lantern actions.  Who will write the aquaman book?

Like G-man says. does max lord coming back, absolve wonderman of killing him?

im tried of you talking about characters in the book. i have read the book, but i have no clue how or talking about. a good example is how the white lanters are and certain characters died a long time ago but the repercussions of their death. i have no clue what you're talking about or who you're talking about. I'm new to DC so i don't know the back storys of all the people. i would like to know want your talking about in the video.

but i love the video you put up.
keep up the good work

@NXH: You might be a little lost. I'd suggest you read the whole Sinestro Corps War arc first.  Either way, it's fantastic stuff. I've been a huge Green Lantern fan for the past couple years now with Johns on the book.

Anyway, they said two more arcs? I knew they were launching Brightest Day, what's this other arc?

@walkingcarpet:
Okay, cheers.  Would you say Blackest Night is still a good starting point or Sinestro Corps War?
