I'm actually excited for this

I need more room on my DVR -.-

Posted by Duncan

I'll just find it on the Internet.

Whoa...this looks surprisingly good.

oh hush
Posted by Aiden Cross

I'd watch it if it were broadcoasted over here. Doubtful though.

They had a bunch of solo shorts on Sunday introducing the characters and events possibly setting up the formation of the avengers.  Some were pretty good.  During the Capt America episodes, they were flashbacks to 1940s when they were attacking HYDRA with the Howling Commandos.. And there was a cameo of Logan as one of the Commandos.  Pretty neat.

I've been looking forward to this

@SupremoMaximo: They are airing them all on TV a few hours before the two new episodes Wednesday night as well. I believe starting at 3pm-ish. (Eastern time)

74 villains?!?!
That means this series will at least be 74 episodes long!
@Duncan:@Aiden Cross:
iTunes is doing a season pass where if you pay (I think $30) you get to watch the episodes as they come out in your computer...

Red Hulk needs a 2-part story.

I have no Disney XD, but i DO have Disney XD OnDemand... so, hopefully it will either be on demand, or terrible.

Posted by InnerVenom123

Really? How do you sign up for that?!

Posted by Mainline

"74 of the world's worst super villains" ... what an oddly specific number to put in your promo!
The rather artless and stilted running animation at 11-12 seconds is one of the reasons I have trouble getting excited about this series (the completely generic sound track doesn't help)... it just doesn't have the quality that a) The Avengers deserve and b) That Disney/Marvel is capable of.
The show was fairly rushed into production under a Marvel division that was created at the end of January and though originally slotted for ABC and ABC Family, has fallen from grace to the rather obscure Disney XD channel.  I mean Paul Dini, Brian Bendis, and Man of Action are still working on Ultimate Spider-Man, giving that time to develop and with top-notch talent... but Avengers is made by relative rookies in half as much time!
That said, any Avengers is arguably better than no Avengers.  We'll see.

I'll check it out.

I DVRd them micro episodes and am trying to watch them all, SO MANY!  Good though, I am really excited about this.  When Superhero Squad came out I thought, why can't they just do adult normal versions of the characters since they can do a SHQ episode featuring Wolverine, Thing, Captain America, and Kazar.
So I guess they heard my thoughts or something.
Some character designs I am not crazy about, but like the Legion of Superheroes cartoon, they can fix them and improve them in later seasons and evolve the characters and story and designs along the way.
I have DisneyDX, so I will definatly watch this.  I just hope Disney gives the show more of a chance than they did Wolverine and the X-men, Spectacular Spider-man, or... did Disney XD show the Batman Brave and the Bold?
Anyway, I hope the higher ups give this show a chance.  I could become so great.
I can't wait for the Ultron/Hank Pym breakdown episode, or the Wonder Woman episode, I just can't wait.

@ArtisticNeedham: My daughter and I are still working through all those mini-episodes as well. With this show being on Disney XD and with Marvel animation behind it, I think it has a stronger chance of lasting. Wolverine and the X-Men was through Lionsgate so perhaps that was part of the problem.
And just a note, Super Hero Squad returns this weekend on Cartoon Network (who also shows Brave and the Bold).

Please let this be more than two seasons.

this actually looks so cheesy it might be worth watching...
i'll wait to see a few episodes on Youtube before i make up my mind

Posted by sonofhercules95

loving this, but wish it was a Saturday morning thing. missing those

Posted by Journey Into Chaos

i don't know if i'll be able to catch this since i don't  know if i have the channel or not.

Posted by jahelmsjr

I watched all the shorts that were on last weekend. While the stories were interesting, the animation was not up to modern standards. It seemed like I was watching GI Joe from the 80s or something.

Posted by sparty-dbq

I so want to watch this, but I don't have Disney XD, and I doubt that it'll really be worth a $40 season pass on iTunes.  I'll probably just rent each episode for a buck each when they're released.

Posted by BattleMage

I wish it had a more serious feel to it like the Justice League Unlimited!

Edited by EnSabahNurX

I'm not loving the animation style BUT i watched the short 5-10min shorts they showed like all day on disney xd and the show was actually pretty good overall and i'll give it a shot
Just wished the animation style was different
But the writing and voice acting wasn't bad either

Posted by Comicgirl93

WOW! I can't wait to see this!! it's gonna be awesome!!!!! :D

Seriously people, Disney XD used to be Toon Disney, changed a few years ago. It's the more mature line up of disney cartoons- as opposed to what's on the regular Disney channel.
And I would give anything for it to last 2 years.   And why is everyone harshing on Lionsgate? They're the distributers behind all the marvel animated films?
Posted by Gambit1024

This is the show I've been waiting for. Hope it won't disappoint.

I already watched 2 episodes from the micro series and that is all I need. I will watch it. it looks great!!

@sonofhercules95: I DVR these cartoons (Brave and the Bold, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, Super Hero Squad Show) and watch them on the weekend with my daughter.
Posted by Man of Lengend

the micro ep were amazing  give it  a chance

Posted by Ry Fryy

Thank you DVR.

I haven't seen the 5 min intros but they have it advertised on a different channel for this Friday in Canada for the first episode so I will definitely see it.

awww how sweet.

If the earth's mightiest heroes are fighting 74 of the world's worst villains, who's stuck fighting the worlds mightiest villains?!? Kinda says that the avengers have it easy. I'll pass on this show, and wonder who is picking up their slack. Must be the Xmen or Fantastic Four.

Posted by obscurefan

It looks way better than I thought, however I don't know how well it will do on Disney XD. I'm not saying that as anything bad, I mean literally I have no idea how shows like this do on that channel. It could be a smash hit or a dud, I just don't know if shows like this do well on that channel so I'm nervous to see that play out.

Posted by Strafe Prower

I'm excited about this!

Posted by MrMazz

if anyone is doubting this go check out the micro eps on youtube they sold me on it

Posted by Rabbit Tots

Errr.... I'll watch it Hulu, thanks

Posted by ArtisticNeedham

I'm up to the introduction of Captain America.  I had a feeling that when they introduced these clips on the internet, 8 minutes or not, I'd have to watch them all before the show started.  Like reading back issues.

Posted by Norusdog

I love the Avengers...Iron Man, Thor and Hulk being among my TOP most favorite heroes......
but that honestly doesn't look very good.  None of the voices sound right at all.  Hulk was really bad in that one line....
oh well...don't think I get that channel anyway.

Posted by charlieboy

i loved the minisodes. i think this going to be a great show. much better than the other avengers cartoon.
Posted by TVN

I have DVRd it at the 2am time slot for space reasons.
It looked good from those microsodes.

Posted by Pizawle

It seems iffy from the trailer but I am still excited.
Still hate Disney for not renewing Spectacular Spider-Man, though. That was a superb show. Not just for a superhero cartoon but overall, damn fine television.

Posted by Alive4Kill

I don't know why but this didn't look promising to me.

Posted by EganTheVile1

The only thing I dont like is the seemingly inevitable cancellation that has plagued Marvel animated series of late. Still Avengers are my all time favorite super-hero team and I will enjoy every episode of this for as long as it lasts
