Snyder and Jock back together? Count me in. BTW...this sounds absolutely terrifying.

Posted by jasonakaslv

Totally down for just about anything Snyder rights..he completely hooked me in with The Wake.

Posted by KLspiderflash11

So does that mean he is done with Superman Unchained after 9 issues?

Posted by Jonny_Anonymous

Scott Snyder + Jock x Horror + Image = WIN

Also the way he keeps saying bestial makes me think of Hags from Skyrim

Posted by DrellAssassin

You had me at Snyder, but Jock is just icing on the cake.

Best article title ever.

(Also super-excited for this!)

I just love the way Scott Snyder writes. He has a way with horror and macabre that is so unique.

Well it looks like I'm dropping one of my Marvel/DC titles for this....damn you Snyder for being such a good writer! And Image for publishing such great stories I just can't say no to!

Man he is one if my fav writers, I even follow his script template, but Scitt sounds horrendously out of shape there

Wow I'm so excited for this especially after getting into American vampire.

@g_man: This seems very interesting to read. I can't wait to check it out. Wow, so he not gonna be writing Superman Unchained for long. :-( That's disappointing I wonder who will take over. Anyways, I checked in Google and apparently there's a British rock band called Wytches. I wonder if he's aware of that.

@sog7dc: he was coming in from being out to lunch. Had to make the interview time. He's fine.

Totally on board with this. Snyder is one of my favourite writers and Jock is one of my favourite artists so this is a totally a no brainer for me.

The premise of the book sounds pretty cool as well, can't wait for this book to come out.

I love Snyder's superhero stuff but he really shines whenever he's left to his own devices and writing his own ideas. I can't wait for this and American Vampire to come back.

Posted by Mucklefluga

This is gonna be fantastic. And the fact its an ongoing too?! Awesome!

Posted by jfryar19

I can't wait for this but I really hope he comes back to superman unchained after issue 9.

All the books announced at Image Expo sound amazing

Edited by Dud317

I remember when they announced The Wake, when American Vampire went on hiatus, he stated he didn't want more than 3 titles because he didn't want to be stretched too thin (paraphrasing). He's all but finished with The Wake and Superman Unchained, so it's still kind of in line with what he said, but I was getting worried about American Vampire. Glad to hear him say it's still coming back. Get it while you're hot, can't say I blame him.

So getting this! I can't wait. All of the books Image announced look great. Good times to come!

This was my most exciting news at the expo. I cannot wait for this! This guy is hands down my favorite writer in this day and age, and having Jock do the artwork makes it that much more awesome. This is gonna be great!

Also wouldn't mind if he dropped Superman Unchained. I've been having a hard time keeping up with that title. I guess Superman doesn't interest me nearly as much as his "counterpart", Bats.

Posted by iaconpoint

I'll echo Scott plus Jock is win plus win and count me in!

Posted by 2cool4fun

Why you leave superman Scott D:, isn't 1 batman comic good enough for you?

Edited by skyjumpermike

Was there ever a follow up to Severed?

Posted by Kelevra216

I'll try to get into this series. I'm not saying it's going to be "meh," it's intriguing and seems like another great universe but I get nightmares easily and for long periods. =S

Posted by TheMantisShrimp

I was so excited when he announced Jock was on this one. Also, @g_man, I looked for you at image expo and never found you, bummer.

Scott Snyder is the nicest fucking guy. I love his humble passion for everything he does. He was even nice about Twilight!

Posted by ScarletBatman

So excited for this!

Posted by thejedster

Super stoked for this!!

I hope Scott can sneak in a Monty Python reference.

Posted by CantDance93

I guess this means he's only doing 9 issues on Superman Unchained. If that's the case I hope it ends up being a miniseries rather than and ongoing.

Posted by RaggedScarecrow

I'm guessing the town is based on a combination of Wichita, Kansas (which was originally Crowtown) and Wytch Farm (an oil field/processing facility in Dorset, England). The publishing style for this has me intrigued and Witches and the Salem Witch Trials are a point of interest for me. Jock seems like a perfect choice for art. Looks like I'm stepping outside the Big 2 again. Sorry wallet.

Is that really how is name is spelled? Anyway, Scott sounds out of shape, Tony looks out of shape. It's the perfect match!
