Extremely high hopes for this title! I think Snyder is a phenomenal story teller and I like that he really understands Lois Lane and her relationship with Clark/Superman.

It is great to see two guys with so much passion for these characters on the same book. Another great interview Tony. Gotta say wish they were just taking over Action Comics, but can understand why they want a fresh book. Really looking forward to how Scott teams up Batman & Superman.

Still hoping they don't charge that extra dollar for the fold out with the digital release....

...they totally will though, ::sigh::

Still think the cover price 4.99 is to much for a comic.

Not to excited to add another $3.99 cape book to my pull. Think this might be something I read in trade.

It's either going to be the best Superman book ever ... or a major disappointment ... no pressure, guys!

Hopefully, they do present Lois in a new and fascinating way -- rather than just the boring old love interest thing.

these guys come off as just big dorks. Looking forward to the art over the story. Lee draws the best Superman. Blows me away when I look the last story he did with Azzarello, which is the last Superman story outside of a team book or a team that I liked. I don't have faith in this tho. Superman just seems to hard to write aside from the mini stories we got out Superman the animated series. That wasn't a comic book tho.

What's this? A Superman being written by my favorite modern comic writer and drawn by a really good artist? Giving Lois Lane and Lex Luthor from what it sounds like a very great role? And in the New 52? Thank you DC! You guys are giving me faith in Superman. Thank God they are giving a preview of this on free comic book day so I can get a early taste of it.

Snyder and Lee's passion for this series has really got me excited now. Their plans for a Superman series sound to be the best possible bet Superman has of celebrating his 75th anniversary. Hope this series lives up to all this hype!

Indeed! I have immense respect for Snyder due to this. Beyond most writers, he displays and explains such passion and intrique by the characters he writes that it shows he truly understands and cares how he handles them. I believe that Superman is in good hands with this duo.

Does anyone know how long this series is supposed to last? I just saw that the #1 will cost $5, which is, well, very expensive, even if we got a back-up story and a four-pages poster. So, any idea? Cheers

#1 might be $5, but I would assume everything else is down to $4, which is unfortunate for a DC comic, but it sounds worth it.

Aside from Pak, Snyder's the only hope Superman has of getting a good 75th anniversary story. The promise of this series being the one Superman story Snyder would tell ups the whole excitement of the series. But I was looking forward to Diggle's run and I hear you were too. Daniels is going to ruin Diggle's work now that he's the co plotter as well as the artist.

Thanks. I thought it was a mini, if it's an ongoing i guess i'll wait for the reviews and then decide to buy or not to buy the TPB. Last year i would have bought this book on day one, now that i've been disappointed a lot by Snyder recently, i can't afford myself to behave like the fanboy i used to be. But i'll surely keep an eye on it.

Yes indeed! Pak is a brilliant writer and I know he can handle a Superman/Batman story well, but that isn't enough. I want a Superman solo book without the aid of Batman or another character to succeed on it's own. Yes, I was very much anticipating Andy Diggle's Action Comics run as I think he could bring a fresh take to the character and with Tony's art, it would've been beautiful to say the least.

Daniels can draw but he can't write at all. His Batman and Detective Comics run show that to be true. His plans for the series sounded really good too. It was never made clear why he left unlike Fialkov leaving GLC and RL for editorial interference in his writing.

Sad but true my friend! His art is some of the best that DC currently has. I'm afraid that DC might be taking too much editorial control in the stories that the creators try to write. So maybe, when Liefield flipped out all those months ago, maybe he was telling the truth O_o

That is one of the bigger drawbacks of the New 52. Simone was almost fired permanently by a new editor and Static Shock was derailed by its editor. Maybe the New 52 was a cover up to give editors greater control over the creative teams? O_o

Hey, you never know! Maybe that's one of the reasons so many big names are retreating back to Marvel or the indie publishers :/ It's definitely a possibility considering all the creators so abruptly dropping out. Morrison leaving DC entirely, Diggle talking about how excited he was to write Superman only to drop out before the first issue even released, Simone being fired then instantly re-hired. Yeesh!

Morrison isn't leaving DC. He's just leaving monthlies. He'll still be doing Wonder Woman: Earth One, Multiversity and Seaguy 3 for Vertigo.

Morrison's still working on Multiversity, a project involving a look at many of the unexplored multiverses in DC as well as a possible Wonder Woman project. He's not done with DC or superheroes yet.

I too have high hopes for this. I miss my boy Superman and I definitely think Snyder will give him due justice. Glad to hear that the Clark and Lois relationship will be explored; I miss this dynamic very much. I'm not a big fan of the new 52 so I hope it doesnt disappoint me. *crosses fingers*
