Of course, just not habitually. First!

Palmiotti's answer was the best.

All of them seem to do it.It would be nice to see some of them not do it.I know a few of them don't but it would be cool if more didn't drink.I remember in Daredevil Born Again when Daredevil stated he didn't drink. It was one of the many things I liked about him but other writers didn't follow it.

Superheroes should drink as much as they want.

Posted by dngn4774

I like that many do. It's a very small character flaw that lets me know that they aren't perfect.

In truth it depends on the superhero and situation. If this question is in regards to if it would affect their job performance, then of course certain superheroes shouldn't drink since intoxication would impede their performance. This won't of course happen to either Superman or Wolverine or Captain America, but for ones like Batman or Hawkeye or others, sure, its going to be an issue. In the end it should also be about to what extent does the superhero wish to show a good example to others, and in that case if they want to be a paragon of virtue to others then of course they shouldn't. All depends on the superhero really and the situation they are in.

@g_man God damn Tony how many comic con videos do you still have left that are not shown?

Man, I think Jimmy Palmiotti should have been careful on what he said. lol, someone could have taken that the wrong way. Anyways, I drank at age at 14, thanks to my parents and extended family. I know bad influences but it happens. Plus, I'm not a big fan of drinking like I use in the old days. I grew out of the taste alcohol and I don't like getting drunk. So...it's not all bad.

I think super heroes should be allowed if they know to be responsible.

On a side note:

and back to the part there with underage drinking. I don't care who you are but you would have to be a utter putz to think that teenagers are not underage drinking. I can understand of not condoning it because you want to make sure you are not being sued by dumb ass parents who don't know how to talk to their kids about this type of issue. but I think people need to be more realistic with the issue and not pretend its a wholesome christian way of life everyone pretends to lead.

Pennyworth would take the keys from batman

Superman might get handcuffed and taken to the station for a talk

Who watches the watchmen on the watch tower?

Sorry God of thunder we're gonna have to take that hammer away from you....well maybe not

Ironman was drunk in the suit in the IM2 and we see how that went

If the Atom or Ant man was drunk who'd know

Edited by GothamRed

Only Drunk Man should.

I love how in the background pic Ollie looks like he's hitting on pg hard and Dinah's over their heads looking super pissed.

By the way, guys here the actual pic to enjoy it's wonderful glory. I found it on facebook way back and loved it. I saved it in my computer and I have noticed so many characters in the picture.

As Jimmy said, alcohol and guns/vehicles don't mix, and most of the heroes are more powerful than either of those, so I would definitely say no. Imagine Superman trying to fly home drunk and he's crashing into buildings left, right, and center :)

I think they shouldn't drink alcohol at all but if they have to, then they should be held to the same rules and expectations as policemen and the military.

Who wants to tell Thor and Superman they can't share a bottle of Henny and make steamy big chested man lover?

Edited by cfrehse

Well i figure their tolerance would be insane. Wolverine drinks all the time. I doubt supes could get drunk. Spidey and cap would take a ton to get drunk lol. So overall i say hell ya. Let them blow of some steam because they will sober up in 1/10 the time we do

Posted by leokearon

They should have a designated superhero, like a designated driver, that way at least one hero isn't drunk and can save the city

Posted by JediXMan

The better question is: who wants to be the first guy to tell Superman he's had enough?

With all the shit the heroes deal with each day. Hell, their liquor should be compensated and given away for free!!

Posted by Mucklefluga

Yes @g_man it happened again! Gotta love Art & Franco.

Edited by VercingetorixTheGreat

As long as they don't get hammered. I doubt a lot of superheroes could even get drunk.

Nothing wrong with drinking alcohol.

Who is gonna stop them :P

Superheroes should drink as much as they want.

THIS!!!

Edited by SolthesunGod

They should certainly be allowed to drink before they can be executed, die for their country, own a firearm or drive a vehicle. Crazy priorities.

Posted by soduh2

Can Superman even get drunk? Serious question.

Edited by SupremeHyperion

ya sure they should be able to, especially the human ones since it is sort of human pop-nature. but most the alien/meta characters I'm not even get effected by it. I know Hyperion doesn't (as he showed through countless hours of drinking with no effect)

led them drink and let them eat cake

Edited by RBT

3 people were standing on the top of a tall building. One said," If you have 2 mouthful of this drink, then you can fly."

Second said," Nah! Its impossible."

First drank two mouthful of drink, jumped off the cliff and FLEW back to the roof.

Second was impressed. He also drank two mouthful of drink, jumped off the cliff and hit the ground splashing himself all over the road.

Third looked at the second man who was laughing and said," You are such a jerk when you are drunk Superman."

Moral: Superheroes should NOT be allowed to drink.

No. Kids look up to super heroes. Drinking isn't going to inspire them in the right direction, if that makes sense. Unless it causes problems with them and they learn from it.

I agree with this statement.

Yes, then they feel more relateble to me

Edited by Vitality

No...of course they shouldn't be allowed.

We should expect them to protect humanity...but we can't allow them to actually be human and have a life themselves.

Honestly...shielding kids from the real world is just a terrible thing to do.

More often than not...they grow up and move out...and then they experience all the things they have been shielded from and screw up their lives.

Alcohol should not affect Superman!

I believe Superheroes should drink! they're adults and have downtime like everybody else. If they can have gratuitous sex why not alcohol?

Pfft James Bond drinks like a fish and he still manges to save the world

Posted by snarkybits

In Captain America: First Avenger, Cap said thanks to the super soldier serum, he cannot get drunk.

Is it the same thing in the comic?

Posted by ZombieMowlcher

@kcvic: Isn't Tony a raging alchoholic in the comics?

Posted by frozenedge

If your name isn't Tony Stark then go ahead, have drink. You're allowed to as long as they don't go around trying to save lives while drunk outta their asses

Posted by Cavemold

Lol Ollie in the back . Yes go ahead batman. Jagger bomb that drink

Posted by LordRequiem

If Captain America can't get drunk I'm pretty sure Superman or Wonder Woman wouldn't either.

Posted by iceslick

@cristock: I don't know. lol There's a reason why Martian Manhunter is kicking him out.

Posted by Solomonwreath

@iceslick:

Why is spider-man the only marvel hero in this?

Edited by AskaniSon295

Cap could totally get drunk on asgardian mead. And what if Scarlet witch got drunk and said "no more futons" .

Posted by Lunacyde

Should they ? Probably not. Can they? I don't know who's going to stop them lol

Edited by PCN24454

Obviously not Ultimate Iron Man drunk but they should be able to drink

Posted by iceslick
Edited by w0nd

I know spider-man doesn't Well the peter version. Kaine does and it doesn't seem to hinder what he does. At the end of the day they are people too...it would be like getting mad at a cop for having a beer after work. A few drinks is okay but drunkeness is not, especially when you can punch a hole through brick wall.s
