Super-Powered Animals are awesome. I mean come on, Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew of Earth-C rule!!!

Posted by DaltonMunnal

Well, at first I was thinking that even though it would logically make sense, I wouldn't really like it... but then he said 'vampire dog' and 'vampire horse' and now I'm pretty excited about that, so...

When do we get "Dark Mighty Mouse"?

He is the king of super animals... and nobody said that he did not belong to our universe!

Give him a team like Captain Carrot.

Or, have him come to "save the day' in a non-speaking cameo alongside Superman or Spider-man!

God only knows who owns the rights to him these days.

(Anyone remember when Bugs Bunny wore superman's outfit for one cartoon?!?)

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

There should be many Flash Family Pets...just so Brian is forced to draw them :)

Hell no.

There should be an Iron Dog. lol

Yes.

Not super-powered but there is Arrow, a.k.a. Pizza Dog and on the super-powered animals there's my personal favorite Socks the cat from animal man. Oh and I think I might just start picking up I, Vampire now that I know about vampire dogs, that sounds awesome.

I love animals. While I would love to see a couple of powerful animal sidekicks, the idea would hit over-saturation really quick if too many animals were involved.

Posted by Wolfrazer

Well I dunno, Krypto I think should really be the only super powered animal. Only really because his story really makes sense if you think about it, Jor-El using the dog as a testing pilot for the ship he was going to send Kal-El in. His origin makes sense here, if you go by the New 52 its also an ok origin with the Phantom Zone and then being pulled out later.

Now that isn't to say other animals couldn't have interesting stories..its just, a dog seems a much better choice to be a hero rather then a cat or a horse or a monkey, or whatever. But if there are other super powered animals that come along, I just hope they don't have strange or cheap backstories.

Yes more super powered animals would be awesome but only if they still have to deal with humans. In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure you see a dog, bird, cat, turtle, and a school of plankton, all with pretty badass super powers. It's always fun to watch heroes grapple with the instinctive nature of animal super powers. I think there was a whole arc in the Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon about this very topic. These creators' answers are so goofy, I love it! Keep it up.

There should be a few animals and hell even a few super- animals. However that does not mean give everyone a super powered friend. How goofy would a Punisher dog or an ant-man ant be.

I think it would be cool, imagine Punisher's dog laying down cover fire so Frank can get closer to his targets.

Brian Buccellato had good point of why there aren't that much comic titles out pertaining to any animal superhero or villain besides those who play the roles inside the main "superhero" title. For example, Ch'p in the Green Lantern, he's a squirrel with a green power ring but plays as a sidekick for other major Corps Members. People don't really like reading about an animal with superhero powers cause first off, it loses the realistic form of the comic book, secondly they are not good protagonist for villains who are more human-like. So if there would be a conflict in the story arc then there would have to be a villainous animal such as a snake or something creepy and evil looking to even out the playing field.

Comics are realistic? News to me! Though I don't see why they can't be good protagonists for villains who are human. Example Krypto and Atlas, though it was in a Superman comic the scrap between Krypto and Atlas seemed nicely done.

Though I suppose, its really only certain ones that could do well. Your right a squirrel would be a tad odd.

I think there are enough, but the animals that exist in comic book universe need more attention.

I see it as a cute novelty, People love cute animals so why not make some superheroes who are animals? I just think its a selling point for kids. It's not a bad idea though there have been some really good superhero pets and its sometimes cute to see heroes with animals like aquaman and aquadog, Damian Wayne with his dog and Batcow. Who knows people just love animals.

@Wolfrazer: Yea that's true, that fight between Krypto and Atlas was pretty raw, but I'm trying to say that animals are less likely to receive a comic book title over realistic superheroes which seems to be more people-like characters. Krypto was not a main character given a title like Superman, but acted as Superman's sidekick dog and was given a villain for such credit. Like I said "Brian Buccellato had good point of why there aren't that much comic titles out pertaining to any animal superhero or villain besides those who play the roles inside the main "superhero" title. For example, Ch'p in the Green Lantern, he's a squirrel with a green power ring but plays as a sidekick for other major Corps Members." Ch'p fought countless battles against Doctor Ub'x, but was not a main character in the Green Lantern title. Thanks

Why, of course!

More Super pets? NO! One is too many.

Posted by CerealKiller

I always wondered, since in the x-men its been shown that alian races can still have a mutant gene, maybe animals could too? X-pets! A gerbil with optic blasts and a flying dolphin etc

it would be ridiculous

and i would totally read it

my little pony sold 90k .aninmal heros could sell

How is this even a question? Can super-powered animals ever be a bad thing? They may not be as adept, as attractive or as interesting as their human counterparts but come on!!! Pyrokinetic hamsters? Psychic pandas? 60ft iguanas who shoot stuff out of their eyes?? How could you NOT want that?

yes and no.

just don't make them cheesy and PG.

Aquadog
Posted by Rumble Man

Yes, superhero universes need to stray away from normalcy

Posted by Timotheus316

What's up with B Buccellato stalking you in the beginning of the video? I'm impartial on the issue to be honest. I just wanted to watch the free content video.

Posted by Decept-O

When Krypto lays a turd does it glow?

Posted by Eclipse-32

I rather like dogs so, yes.

Posted by jesusdisciple001

don't forget throg,lockheed,etc in marvel

Posted by Sufferthorn

It's realistic to have Super-powered Animals, they are after all just as susceptible to having a radioactive lightning bolt from outer-space hit them in the butt than any Human is.

MS. LION.

Posted by neiliusprime

I think there is enough animal heroes/villains. For some reason I think its hard to pull off "super-powered-animals"

Marvel got Rocket Raccoon right lol

Posted by mewmdude77

There should only be super pets like Krypto, Streaky, and Ace the Bat Hound.

Posted by blastaar

Absolutely. I found the Pet Avengers to be cute & hilarious. Also, some pets are pretty useful like Lockjaw (for teleportation) and Redwing (for reconnaissance.)

Posted by kfhrfdu_89_76k

I think that it`s really funny that Buccelato walks behind Tony, in pretty much all of these videos...

I miss power girl's cat...so yes.

More Ace the Bathound please. ;o

Batcow. End of discussion.

I think someone with a story like Sissel of Ghost Trick would fit the animal hero role.

He is dead at the beginning and is in the body of somebody else. Believing he is that person, he seeks who he is because he doesn't remember anything past that instance. He ends up with a power that let's him rewind time for 4 minutes to a person who die. He can also talk to those spirits of the dead becoming a hero to them all. Then, some time stuff happened that makes everything epic and reveal he is a cat. I recommend that game to anyone who likes mystery story and puzzle games, though the puzzle are bit simplistic.

Anyway, there's also character like that takes the form of an animal but is an embodiment of something significant like the Phoenix.

I think its a bad idea, it will make comics to childish.

Posted by RedheadedAtrocitus

Haha, gotta love Booch stalking the camera behind G-Man during the first 10 seconds. And a vampire dog in I, Vampire?? Awesome! OMG...Jimmy Palmiotti saying there should be a super gerbil made me fall outta my seat. That's just...HILARIOUS...All funniness aside though, I can see more but only if there's the possibility of them being an effective plot device for comics. Otherwise then they are just not really a working component unless they were given their own ongoing series.
