Thank you Scott.

Great interview. I'm excited about Batman: Eternal. That will be my first bat title that I pick up. Finally the bat comic I've been waiting for. And on a freakin weekly basis!

Posted by Outside_85

Eh... think Batman Eternal sounds utterly redundant, especially when you have stuff like Dark Knight that's already redundant. So why not just make that into a weekly book and use the spare slot for something not-Batman?

Nothing about Supes? :(

Posted by G-Man

@sandman_: I did intend to but we were kinda limited on time (even though we talked for six minutes). He had a panel right after this. We also didn't talk THE WAKE :(

Great guy. He's been doing Batman right by me. Would have loved something on The Wake, I think things are going to get crazy in the second half.

He is the best. Loving Zero Year but I don't want Superman Unchained to end.

I can't get enough of this guy's writing. His interviews always display how much work he puts into his books and how much he appreciates his fan base. I hope Sean Murphy is drawing the cold case arc after Zero Year too.

I've loved everything he's done on Batman since the very first issue, but his retelling of Batman's origin has quickly become my favorite. Not just Batman's origins, but Riddler's and most of all the Joker's. I can't wait to see what he brings us with this second act of Zero Year!!! ^__^

Best part of the interview was seeing "By Joey Fameli" !! ;)

It won't, they said it was going to be just like any other book.

I met Scott at Planet Comiccon in Kansas City earlier this year and realized that he is really short, like about 5'4" or so. Just wanted to bring that up and also say that he's one of if not the best Batman writer I've ever read.

Posted by 2cool4fun

Not going to lie, i am really scared at what they are going to do with Stephanie, but please don't make her too old, also, i hope that she is still younger then Cassandra & please introduce Cass as well :(

Posted by G-Man

@mucklefluga: We would've brought Andy but with GameSpot relaunching, he was needed at the office. So we brought Joey in to help. Just like old times!

I reckon that 'The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2' were better than under the red hood and should be on that list

Maybe that image was a list of his favorite Batman movies?

Wouldn't explain Batman and Robin, though.

Such a great guy. Scott Snyder is the man.

Because nothing else sells well. Can't blame DC for pandering to the audience when they've tried a ton of different stuff, none of which was picked up by the buying audience in significant numbers.

I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Snyder for the first time at NYCC and he was an all around amazing guy. The humility he shows after the tremendous success he's had is incredible. I have been a huge fan of his for a long time now and will continue to read anything he puts his name on. Such a talent who cares for his fans. Great interview Tony!

Truly cannot say a thing against Snyder. He may be the nicest guy out there, period! Love his work on Batman. Has been consistently great ever since he took the Dark Knight's helm!

Edited by Amaryllis

@2cool4fun: Ok because I was wondering why they would give up such a lucrative book.

WE LOVE YOU SNYDER, WE DO!

OH, SNYDER WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

Scott Snyder is the best thing that has happened to Batman in a long time! Along with Greg Capullo on pencils, they're killing it ( in the good way)! Court of Owls, Death of a Family, Zero Year, he just get's better and better with each new arch! 20 years from now we will look back at Zero Year the way we do Frank Miller's Year One ! Kyle Higgin's Nightwing is amazing too! I never read Batman Beyond till Kyle started to write it and now I'm hooked! Batman Eternal is going to be EPIC ( and I hate that word but it fits ) Scott Snyder was so nice and humble in person, a true gentleman and genius ! I was a life long X-Men guy who didn't get the whole Batman no powers regular guy thing, that's until the first issue of Batman in the New 52, now I have become a Batman maniac owning over 100 trades, few people have ever written Batman so well, Scott's in the same league as Frank Miller , the great Grant Morrison and the amazing Allan Moore ! I can't say enough about how amazing the second week of the month is knowing a New Batman book is out! Don't get me started on how good American Vampire, Wake , Swamp Thing and Superman : Unchained have been! Long Live Scott Snyder as the writer for Batman!

Wish he had talked about Superman.

It's his 75th anniversary right now you know :(
