Featuring the voice and likeness of Ryan Reynolds (in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions), Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters allows players to assume the role of Hal Jordan to battle the Manhunters—a once noble android police force who are now bent on destroying the Green Lantern Corps.

Players take control of the most powerful weapon in the universe – the Green Lantern Power Ring – and conjure a spectacular range of “hard-light” constructs including a gatling gun, giant fists, and much more as they take flight to outer space in an effort to restore Intergalactic order.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters  takes flight on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS on June 7th.

seems interesting...cant say anything unless the gameplay footage is revealed

That looks pretty cool, and they've kept it comic accurate with how imaginative Hal is with his constructs. Burn.

That looks AWESOME

dont see sinestro  using a mini-gun but ill wait to see some gameplay footage before giving a opinion

That looks better than I thought it would.  I'd love to see some gameplay footage though.

They sure love using that audio clip of Reynolds saying the GL oath. But who am I kidding, I'll probably buy this anyways.

no PC version of this?

You see Hal do it in the trailer for the film and I think it's supposed to be one of the powers in the game, which is probably why you see him using it.

IGN had kind things to say about the thing, but it's still a movie tie in so I'll be keeping my hopes in check. That said, I hope the thing is good. A great Green Lantern game would be pretty sweet.

Still can't get the movies to work on here. GRRRR. They use to work.

what does this  trailer make me more excited about the movie than the actual movie trailer?

Whats funny is I can watch the movie in forums but not as a Topic in the main link.  =)

Trailer gotta reminds me of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 but needs a gameplay trailer thats for sure ..

Sounds interesting but It's not a gameplay trailer so who knows what it will be like.

Alright...this already sounds pretty generic to me.. Guess I'll wait for a proper non-movie GL game...someday...
*goes back to play The Flash on the Master System*

Wow....this is the SECOND trailer now with no gameplay. That's a bad sign.

can't wait to see how they handle the flying in the game, just hope its easier to control than the Iron Man games.

@FadeToBlackBolt:
put the haterade down black bolt lol

Wow. Only thing interesting about that was Sinestro with a gatling gun.

Sigh, this just reminds me how much more I preferred the original Kilowog concept compared to the softened one they went with. He looks like a bulldog face. Too cute, not troll-like enough.

the only way i could see a green lantern game working is by seriously downplaying the lantern capabilities so that is has like pre-set power applications or making it a RPG with alot more power options but IMOO much slower gameplay.

doesn't show a lot of the gameplay...cool trailer and all but i would have liked to see more

I'm just spit-balling, here, but I think GL would be a better fighting / beat-em-up game than an action-adventure.  Something sort of like Naruto Ninja Storm with fast, highly mobile combat, and each character with specific kinds of constructs.

Ultimately any game is going to feel limited because you're supposed to be able to construct anything you can imagine.  How many times are you going to use the "Big Green Hammer" ability before it seems a little unimaginative?

Not any more or less than any other game really.

Anyway, with my growing apathy towards modern gaming and the industries overall decline in quality, I can't say I'm looking forward to it, but I'm glad that after decades of existence, Green Lantern is finally getting some recognition. Might be worth a few hours of entertainment.

I wouldn't  get my hopes up, they always fail at making movies into video games

Game Play Trailer:
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osko13AiBIQ
And here's some random dude that played it at wonder con giving his thoughts on the game play

Now, I know nothing about the guy, and he could be exaggerating about the quality of the game play, but if it is really like God of War...that's awesome

cool game
