DC Entertainment, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company, will launch “DC All Access,” a weekly webseries that will bring an insider’s perspective on the comic book company. The webseries will offer news, access, and entertainment on the inner workings of the DC Entertainment offices, employees, creators, and iconic comic characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. “DC All Access” will also provide a unique insight into film, television, games, and animation projects. The webseries is produced by Telepictures Productions (‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show, ‘Extra,’ ‘TMZ’) and will be hosted by Tiffany Smith and Blair Herter, formerly of G4.

I really don't get why people hate DiDio so much, it's obvious he's a good natured guy who loves comics and doing his job.

I'm right there with ya. People just love getting on the hate train.

Its sad when the ad in front of the video is almost as long as the video itself.

@robogeist: Interesting. I don't see ads as a premium member myself. But I did consider that and tried turning that off because the clip was so short. So maybe there's a glitch that made it so it didn't turn off. I'll someone look into it.

@g_man: Oh, thanks. That's pretty cool for you to try an fix that.

@thechessclub:

Agreed after hearing the episode of "Fatman on Batman" with him on it you just realize how much passion for DC he has, that said it isnt easy always staying positve about DC when someone you like gets dropped or jumps ship

@comradecold: This is where I got the impression of him as well. He seems like the guy that had to do a lot of tough decisions that seemed or is still seen as unfavorable, then you've got to add the factor of the hardcore vocal minority comic book fanboys.

But so far with my experience with DC, which isn't very long to be honest, overall, it seems to be all right. Then again we don't have that much access to the behind-the-scene tension, arguments, office politics and bureaucracy but from the outside looking... at the outside, it seems all right.

Though, I am concerned about the slight side-step when discussing about his relationship with Grant Morrison. Kevin and Dan didn't discuss him as much from what I can remember. I read somewhere in a forum that it's because Dan didn't like how Grant planned out the whole continuity for Batman when he got the gig. Am I reading into it too much?

Also, in comparison to this video, this is the slowest I've heard him talk since Fatman on Batman. Can't wait to see this episode!

Man I was getting dizzy because of the shaky camera action..

I look forward to seeing more of these.

Without having seen the video,I'll say the reason that I think people don't like him(those that don't I mean) is because he's either made some dumb decisions,or he's the one publicly announcing/defending dumb ideas, like the Harley artist thing, or his reasoning for why batwoman can't be married(not that I read her book, but still) and some people, like me,aren't exactly happy about the idea that he wanted dick Grayson killed off,and isn't he at least part of the reason Wally's not around? Anyway, again that's without having seen the video, those're just some thoughts on maybe why some people don't like him. I'll watch the vid later.

LOL, I don't know how people keep up. I'm still reading comics from 2004.

If that wall of his is to be any credit... which I am sorry to say it is; DC September gimmick will be 5 Years Later... how I am not looking forwards to that.

To be fair, it is very easy to hate Dan, because his job is essentially to stand up and be proud to present whatever idea or choice other people have come up with, almost regardless of how much people won't or don't like it.

He may be a swell guy and he may be as passionate about comics as we are, but people will judge him by what he does, and for a very long time he's been the face of DC making a string of hard-to-understand choices. Why can't we have Wally West, Renee Montoya, Cassandra Cain or Donna Troy? Why can't characters get married or have kids? Why did someone think killing Nightwing (or Superboy for that matter) in Infinite Crisis and brining in the Wildstorm-U was a good idea?

I really don't get why people hate DiDio so much, it's obvious he's a good natured guy who loves comics and doing his job.

1. He fired Gail Simone over an email and the editorial abuse of other creators. Paul Cornell, George Perez, Rob Liefeld, James Robinson, W. Haden Blackman, JH Williams III, all quit DC in the past two years. GEE, I wonder WHY?!

2. He thinks marriage makes for boring writing, which is what a hack like Joe Qesada thinks, because that just means you're too stupid, lazy or uncreative to write a good marriage, or you think all comic book readers are socially inept losers who don't know how to handle relationships!

3. He'd rather let the Amazons get turned into rapist lesbians than let a woman be married to another woman.

4. He refused to let Stephanie Brown appear in the Smallville comic, giving off the clear impression he dislikes her character, and has used the bullcrap excuse of "we can't think of where to put her or Wally West", which is dumb because when you're in the business of selling comic books, you should bring back the characters people keep asking for at every convention! And where are Cassandra Cain, Renee Montoya, Donna Troy?

5. He insists all superheroes shouldn't have good personal lives, that's their "Sacrifice". Yeah, because we want ALL our superheroes to have the exact same personal life, by which I mean crappy ones! Refusing to let characters be married limits the amount of stories you can tell with characters.

6. He screwed up the continuity by saying there'd only been superheroes in it for FIVE YEARS, which makes no sense considering we had Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Damien Wayne and Stephanie Brown...FIVE ROBINS! One Robin per year? Really?! REALLY?

7. For a universe created to draw in new readers, why get rid of the design of Amanda Waller, who was fat but commanded great power and respect? Nooo, all the people in here have to be GOOD LOOKING! And god forbid any of the protagonists have any kind of disability, just look at what they did with Batgirl!

8. He eliminated the Teen Titans. WHY? They were one of the most important books in the previous universe, and ridding the DC universe of their lineage just spits in the face of those that loved the teams! It just seems slapped in there!

9. Suddenly there's never been a "Crisis" in the DCNU. Which means no Crisis on Infinite or Multiple Earths, no Infinite Crisis, no Identity Crisis, no Final Crisis, all of which were important books and milestones in the DCU and which helped form a great deal of character backstories! In fact, what IS the backstory for the DCNU? DiDio and the creators haven't given us one yet!

10. His outright IGNORING of what the fans want. He, like the rest of the DC editorial board, don't care about what the fans want, they want to TELL you what you want instead of LISTENING to what you want. The FANS didn't want a reboot. The FANS didn't want Batwoman's wedding called off! And the FANS certainly weren't having a hard time with continuity in this digital age where it's EASY to look up such facts on Wikipedia or DC wiki or other sites! He cares more about selling to speculators, not fans, and thinks sales are the only true criteria for success. Y'know what else sells? Porn. Doesn't mean the story's any good!

Speculators nearly destroyed the whole industry back in the 90's. Trying to appeal to them over the fans is short-sighted, stupid, and foolish! He's placing too much emphasis on temporary gimmicks and not on DECENT STORIES.

That! ALL OF THAT...is why Dan DiDio and the editors in charge of creative staff at DC...suck. And THAT! Is why I suggest we #FireDiDio!
