Great video G-man. I really want this book XD

Posted by Outside_85

So big it's impractical.

Posted by johnny_spam

Too expensive but very interesting and so is the size if some prowler breaks into the Whiskey Media Office you have a nice blunt object to defend yourselves.

crazy

Posted by Gregomasta

I want it bad.

Posted by Mr. Dead Pool

Let's see. House payment or this? Yeah I don't think I'll be able to get this. Well maybe at Christmas or my birthday.

Posted by Trodorne

The book is huge.. (thats what she said). we had it at the store for a while but i don't think anyone know it exists.

Edited by Evpraksiya

got it, and true it's really really heavy! the postman was dying delivering it to the 2nd floor, the book is a masterpiece, and the DC comics year by year visual chronicle is one of a kind too !

Posted by HaloKing343

Wow, that book is huge.
Posted by Fantasgasmic

"when did they start working on it?" I'm gonna say 75 years ago.

Posted by BooDoug187

Is it heavy enough to kill a baby? Thats how I judge large books.

Posted by carnivalofsins00

I'd love this as a birthday gift.

Posted by Hailinel

The book is practically big enough to be a coffee table in and of itself.

Posted by yo_yo_fun

That is so freakin awesome! I want that book sooo bad!
...But then I heard $200.... :/

@yo_yo_fun: $106 on amazon. Think how much the Absolute books cost and look how much more you get here.

I love that stuff like that exists, but short of winning the lottery I would never buy it. Plus it's, DC. Now if they made a Marvel one I may think about it more so, but even then I'm just not a huge fan of a lot of the older history of comics.

$131.67 on my amazon.

I've read it in my local book store when shopping its pretty impressive but I have to nitpick about this because its could have been easily avoided. On the second (or was it page 4?) Golden age page of Batman they claimed the creepy bat-like theme was a popular in the old days using Spring Heeled Jack The Terror of London as example. Nothing wrong with that. Just that it said. something like: ''Jack the Ripper scares grave robbers in the guise Spring Heeled Jack'' (yeah it was like a week ago, kinda forgot how it was actually written down) Which is something that gets me nitpicking because this could have been easily avoided by 1 minute of google.

I have read The Terror of London and I own the reprint of this reprint. It hasn't even mentioned the Iipper. Its a typical (though way to light hearted) Highwaymen Penny Dreadful, with the twist that the Highwaymen is basically a fortunes man of middle wage playing Robin Hood on his much richer corrupt cousin and some other bad folk. Also they neglected to add that its a reprint yes, But seeing how the current art is show to only be in the 1904 version its not that big of deal with me compared to the other mistake

Aside from that I'd love to have this book and I'm saving for it right now (Its not easy for me to get 150 Euro's) also how they separate the different era's is just awesome ^^

The still image for this video is so amazing, I am hesitating to watch it.

I have this book and I have to say that it is absolutely amazing. It was worth every penny paid. It's great for DC Comics geeks like me. Seriously, I don't think I've found anything as in-depth, both visually and written, covering any comic book company as this thing. I'm a huge DC fan so this has been an absolute joy to read.

WOW. That's really nice. I want it. And one for Marvel too.

This s pretty cool, maybe they have it at Barnes & Noble so I can look at it, because there is no way I can spend that much.  Pretty cool book though!

Posted by kitsuneconundrum

You lost your job because Borders is a failing business model in a changing market, with a struggling economy....that being said I will defend myself saying that I am NOT the guy goes and read all the magazines and books and never buys anything, I do not buy any books, but my wife spends way to much on books every week and I buy my share of comics from local comic book stores.I was just stating that I would like to look at the book, not sit and read the whole thing, but I do not see myself spending that much money on a book, regardless of how cool it is!

I think I actually had a geek-gasm just watching those pages turn, that is one awesome looking book.  It is definitely on my wish list for my next Christmas/birthday/anniversary present......although I don't think my wife would appreciate that last one, XD

p.s. @ G-Man:  Nice shirt for a DC book review ;P

Posted by Eyz

I saw this giant book in sotres here, in Geneva Switzerland! Quite unusual since you don't usually find US comics in them (but in specialized comic book stores) °___°

Looks fantastic!
