Riddler gets my vote

No Joker? that is sad :-(

Edited by Benzo

In my opinion I think the Riddler and Catwoman should definitely be in the next batman movie! , or they could use Hush or Black Mask, if they still want to use the 'realistic' villain concept...either way I still think Batman 3 is  gonna be really Awesome! oh and congratulations to Joe Quesada for getting the promotion! :)

Posted by sora_thekey
Batman 3: I want to see the Riddler... maybe Poison Ivy

Thundercats:
Yay! I am wondering though if the look will be the same

Joe Q: I think this might be good! He will probably fight the movie rights for Spider-man since he loves the character so much!

Concept Art: They look cool!

Off G-Man's Mind: Wonder Woman's character is awesome, but I don't give great input on her character since I don't read her title. (Don't worry I will pick up issue #500)

It really doesn't have to be Ares because Luthor nor the Joker are more physically over powering than Superman and Batman, however, they can sometimes reach to those heights. It needs either a good series, writer, or artist to get Wonder Woman to Ares as Hal's to Sinestro. So my vote is to Cheetah.

@Benzo Hush would be cool :-) Love to see a version of clayface in Batman 3..Dought it tho.

I vote Poison Ivy, the Batman films haven't had any female villains so far.

Maybe the 3rd movie could be a good point to introduce the Gotham City Sirens...

I agree with Benzo about Catwoman.  That would go great with Hush.  It seems like everything in Marvel is under Quesada's power now.  I hope he does a good job.  That's awesome about the Thundercats, but I don't wanna see Lynx-O or any of the other off Thundercats.

I'm all about Riddler showing up in the Nolanverse.

While I don't know if mainstream audiences would get it, I'd love to see the Ventriloquist.

I think its best not to recast Joker, especially since this is a Batman with an end to it.  Its reasonable then to say that the Joker is finally locked up in Arkham or that he is on death row.  If Batman's story will end then the Joker can end too.
I saw this thing called the psychology of Batman where they delved into the psychology, oddly enough, of Batman and his villains.  Penguin was revealed to be a reflection of Bruce Wayne if he indulged in money and power instead of becoming Batman.
Riddler was shown to be a narcissist who needs to show everyone, the police, the people of Gotham, and especially Batman, that he is smarter than them all.  Which is why he leaves riddles and notes and clues, because he honestly doesn't think they can solve them.  They used examples like the Zodiac Killer.
they showed scenes from the movies by Nolan so maybe they can go that rought with the bad guys.
Have the main bad guy be Riddler, representing the Joker like "freak" criminals, while Penguin is taking power of the mobs of Gotham.  I'd think Riddler would be the focus like Joker was while Penguin would be as much a focus as the mob was in Dark Knight, or Scarecrow was in Begins.
I like the idea of the Riddler because it would show just how psychological and dangerous his character actually is, not just some clown who leaves riddles.  It would also give Batman a chance to show how smart he is, not just fighting all the time but solving clues.  Smarter clues than Jim Carry's.  It would show Batman the Detective and scientist.

I had an idea for Poison Ivy, where she is an unstable environmental scientist who has a breakdown or something and thinks she is mother nature and uses her knowledge of plants to create poisons and gasses.  But not sure how she could be done right.

Maybe some writer and artist should try and shake up Wonder Woman's rogues gallery like they did recently in another comic.  Not sure what it was, I wanna say 52.  Maybe it was in the recent Spider-Man comics with the Sinister 7.  But anyway, maybe they should revive some old foes and make them more dangerous, bring in some new ones like maybe an anti Wonder Woman or something.

I always felt Ivy could be done too. It depends upon the depiction, sometimes she's not all that super powered but really just a seductive genius botanist that uses exotic flora toxins, immunizing herself, for her eco-terroristic goals, which is remarkable relevant today due to the green movement. I'd adore seeing Ivy and I don't really see that much altering her character.

Riddler and Talia sounds pretty good. Bruce needs a new love interest and it'll have a link to Begins and I've been pro-Riddler ever since the Batman: Arkham Asylum game. Great news that Heath Ledger's Joker will be the one and only Joker.

I never saw Thunder Cats so good luck with that.

Posted by ArtisticNeedham
@MysterioMaximus: Right, she is a character who wouldn't be altered too much.  Not like Mr. Freeze, Clayface, or Killer Croc.  They would have to be severely altered, but she would come across as the same comic character.  Her goal is similar to Ras' in the first movie, I don't know if that would help her or hurt her character's possibilities for being in the movie.  She wants to wipe out Gotham's humans, the worlds too, to let the Earth heal itself.

I think the Ventriloquist and scarface would just be creeeeeepy as hell.  I think Robin Williams would be awsome at this too, and he's worked with Nolan before.  If they took a little time and effort they could really pull him off, but that's not gonna happen and we all know.  I still think they'll do a good job with the Riddler.  Making him very Narcistic, and leaving a trail for Batman to follow while the Penguin goes for the mob.  They really don't need the umbrella gags, just a fat gangster with a small fetish for penguin nick nacks.

Absolutely! You know something Artistic, I like you! =]

I've often said the same exact thing, I think she'd work perfectly into a return of Ra's story with Talia. Her goals are exactly the same, she only has different means.

Thanks.  That would be interesting too, Talia and Poison Ivy team up.  They should try that in the comic.

Oh, I had an idea for introducing Catwoman into the movie.  But it would sort of be the direction of the entire movie.
In the movie Bruce is becoming darker, more inside his own mind.  avoiding being Bruce more and more, being more aggressive and taking bigger risks as Batman.  Almost like he doesn't care or he cares way too much.  Alfred fears he is loosing him.
During his patrolling of Gotham Batman runs across a burglar who was inspired by him, Catwoman.  They tangle and flirt.  She is sort of bad for him, sort of thing, but he keeps flirting with her, meanwhile another villain enters the scene like Riddler.  Catwoman, like in Hush, becomes a more serious relationship, even though they aren't a perfect match.  She would sort of be the mysterious character that you don't know if she can be trusted or is good or bad.  But her introduction as Bruce's sort of love interest would be part of him taking risks and becoming darker and reckless.
I'm not sure if I am making my idea clear though.  Am I?

That is the most adorable adaptation of Thunder Cats EVER!

I take it you have abandoned the LIVE News shows?

I vote for RIDDLER!! ClayFace could be cool, but he wouldn't fit into that Batman universe. Wow, I had not even considered Talia. That's a pretty good idea. Might be prefect timing too since they killed off Bruce's love interest in the previous film and Ra's was killed off in the first.

I care about the Thundercats. I hope it's done well.

I was inspired by the Wonder Woman discussion on the podcast to write a special blog about her and the character. The thoughts of someone who has been more of a casual fan through the years, but learning more about her recently. I have a few things to do and I want to get my notes together.

Posted by chris thompson

Clayface would be cool but i doubt they will use him.

The show is no longer shot "live," rather it is "unedited," meaning we shoot it all in one take and there is no editing.

I think the Riddler is not a good choice - for normal movie goers he is way too much like the Joker.  I think taking down a Penguin or something at the beginning would be a fine nod to the fans (or some other villain similarly challenged for inclusion in the Nolan films).  Whichever villain is chosen, that villain must reflect the conflict in Batman for that movie - I'd love to see this end with such serious destruction that Batman realizes he is no longer a solution and works to do good just as Bruce Wayne.  Then in five years, Nolan gets the itch and they do the Dark Knight Returns!  Or perhaps all of the villains are somewhat Batman inspired - Catwoman, etc to show that his violence has only begotten further violence.
As for Thundercats - I think it was a great kids' show - and does not translate well when viewed by an adult.  Decent for nostalgia's sake - I'm not certain what a new show could really offer.  Oh, and good for Joe Q. Screw the haters!

I want to see the Riddler.

And Thunder Cats was awesome when I was a kid.

Posted by baker1skter

i want to see the riddler! i mean come on, if they cast someone good, it would be awesome! i don't want to see Mr freeze or the penguin!  So killed in the past! killer croc, Harley Quinn or poison ivy just placed in the movie would be pretty coool as well.

I thought Thundercats was pretty good. I can't wait to see the new shows.

Good Job Guys.

Since CylonDorado was responding to my post and babs brought it up I'll respond to that.
And they called it s @#$$%^storm so this is what I said back.

I Don't think its a shit storm. I don't like wonder woman and that is why. Go read through the posts, people don't agree with you. Her enemies blow.  Cheata is a joke and it doesn't even make sense for them to fight WW should crush her by a flick.

She did come off as a man hater early on as she is from an Island that forbids their presence. That was a theme of her Island. Empowering women is not the same thing as dissing men. And it's not confusing. There are hundreds of other bad ass female characters in DC and Marvel that don't come from man rejecting Islands.  She unlike normal people, had to learn to trust men and still only trust a few of them. That's not normal or empowering, it's just prejudice.

Wonder Woman was created by a psychiatrist in a sick fetish for his girl friend. Her weakness was if she was bound by a man she would be powerless. He was dating a much younger girl at the time who was into bondage and wore metal bracelets. Empowering my butt.  She also had a stint there for a long time where she wasn't a female superman and she was just a chick that knew Judo also they confused Judo and Karate. And it was boring then too.

She's famous because she is a she. If she wasn't then there would be nothing interesting about her.  But because she is a woman, in a world that used to be mostly men, she got trust to the top, and then Linda Carter made her more famous.  The whole look she's a girl but she can do it too thing isn't cool anymore it's kind of a slap in the face to women. And so the audience has moved on but the character hasn't much.

Her fights and villains are not fine. They suck compared to her company. I am sure Batman and Superman out sell her on everything. She just looks good on the posters with the two of them. Her stories are interesting when they involved one of them. She's a cross over queen.

I will agree on one thing I don't think she has a "more than human" quality to her. She's a very loving and sensitive character. That's why the violet ring chose her. The reason I said she couldn't have Batman wasn't to dis on Batman. It was simply to explain that the man she loves won't be with her, because compared to him she is an idiot. But that is who she loves. It's been established. For her to choose another would probably be a step down. Because aside from not having powers Batman is almost a perfect guy intellectually and physically and he is a billionaire. I was explaining why her choices are limited aka answering the question. She's immortal most other people are not, thus they age and she doesn't.

Wonder Woman was created during the time of superheroes where Superman, Batman, and others where real heroes.  Not deep rich characters they are now, they were good and they stopped evil.  They all looked heroic and had a physical weakness like kryptonite, wood, the color yellow, being tied up, stuff like that.  Then Marvel introduced the idea of rounding them out and giving them feet of clay.  Sometimes characters created back then have a harder time breaking out of the perfectness because they have to sort of stay with the continuity or something.  Villains became more than just evil, they needed motivation as did the heroes.  But not being a Wonder Woman reader I wouldn't know if she would go under this category.  I have been meaning to pick up the older stuff like the George Perez Wonder Woman.  I heard he really rounded out her character.

Good work Babs and G-Man, as always.
The thing that really interests me is who they could possibly be using as the villain in the new Batman movie.  I've heard a lot of talk about Catwoman, and considering the "outside the law/renegade" vibe they finished the last movie with, it would make sense.  After all, Catwoman is a plausible and human character.
Personally, if it was up to me, I'd like to see Scarface.

thunder thunder thunder thunder cats hooooooooo!!! im so excited cant you tell :)

Wonder Woman definately needs a bigger rogues gallery, much like Babs needs a bigger sweater.

They could update her old characters like Egg Foo, in 52

I love the news!  Babs you rock...I for one love your voice and I think you are very beautiful...don't pay the haters any mind.

I was never a big follower of Thundercats but do remember the cartoons... so I am curious to see what becomes of this...

As for the next Batman movie... Riddler sounds like a good choice but what about Blackmask?!?!

Also I agree with G-Man and Babs! Wonder Woman deserves more respect!
Posted by 00 Raiser

Im all ready for some Thundercats! Batman 3 I would like to see Catwoman, Riddler,  Killer Croc. As far as Wonder Woman goes I think out of all the superheroes she is one of the main superheroes that gets mega respect but at the same time doesnt really share their spotlight.  She was never really over the top except for when she kind of stuck her nose in Superman's business when they introduced Supergirl. Non mutants being X-Men uhhhhhh NO WAY!!!!.  They can get away with that once there is unity in the world which will never happen so the idea is a BUST!!!

Posted by ProjectGHOST

So if there's ever a Wonder Woman casting call Babs should hit that up. Or hell, if Talia's in the new bats movie hit that up too!

They should have  Bane in the new film

Edited by BrikHed

The past couple of news episodes have been distracting - if Tony is going to be part of the news he needs to be in front of the camera.  The flow seems to no longer be smooth.  The news really should be Sara (or whoever is talking) looking at the camera and running us through the news, not stopping for off camera commentary every 40 seconds.

Just my opinion
