Wait so they were wanting to eat what...? lol             Love Thor, nice catch up....wish the movie didn't look like such a bomber.

I eat dead people[/haley joel osmond voice]

Okay, seriously: they drew Tyr with his left hand missing (3:03)?  Fenris bit off his right hand - his sword hand.  WTH, Marvel?

Posted by Cthulhudrew

Maybe it's mirror-universe Tyr?

"Everyone's favorite son of Odin"

Unless we happen to like Loki slightly more than Thor. ;)

Your presentation here was great, Babs. I almost wasn't distracted by the "edgy" camerawork. Heh. Also, cute hair.

I´m over the fact that this plot and the Avengers Primer plot contradicts each other, or have a pretty much messed up chronology and now wonder... does time runs different in asgard?

This is confusing as crap.  You've got Hel (one L) located within Hell (two L's) .

Doesn't really matter that much to me anyway.  I stopped buying Thor when it got bumped up to 4 bucks.

Never knew how intense Thor comics were!

It's pronounced "Tear" like crying.

Good job though.

Could this be the start of more than one comic catch-up in a week?!

@Babs  - Great job. I'm a big Thor fan but haven't gotten around to reading these yet. This sounds good, but I'm really looking forward to the start of the new series at #615. Better be good! Hope you and G-Man do an unscripted review on Thor #615 also, believe it comes out 9/22.

I'm not a big fan of Thor but I enjoyed reading this arc!  I just really love idea of these Disir, to see these brawny warriors afraid to even utter their name shows they a force to be reckon with

Great job Babs

So, they haven't eaten in years, would that qualify them as super models?

I'm surprised you actually showed the ketchup label. G-Man always hides it, but to each their own. Well done, this is a nice feature.

It's in hell, because hel no longer exists. From a technical standpoint, 'hel' is just a corner of Mephistos hell he deeded to Hela.

I see, I guess that's how they try and incorporate multiple mythologies...so then does that mean Mephisto's Hell is the "real" one?

@aztek the lost: Yes it does.

Thanks for doing one of these on the recent Thor issues.  It's been exciting lately and hopefully this will get more people interested.

Thank You Sara!
I dropped this book when the craziness that was Siege hit, and ever since then I've looked for a good point to start reading this book again!
Now I can!

Thor's in hell, Wolverine's in hell, and Spider-Man's OMIT-deal with the devil story.  I wonder if Marvel is gearing up to a big crossover story with Mephisto as the main antagonist.

@JarJarMinks:

It certainly seems to be the time for all things "Thor" now in the lead up to the 2011 movie. The proliferation of comics, games, figurines and various other artefacts. A great time to be a Thor fan.

I can recall a time not so long ago though when it was the opposite. Michael Oeming had finished his magnificent "Rune Thor" comic book series and there was a long hiatus before JMS took over for a while as comic book writer for Thor.

During that "hiatus" about the only thing being written on Marvel Thor were my various fan fiction stories. On sites like fan fiction net and Alvaro's comics Thor Message Board. You can still enjoy them. Just scroll down below my author profile and you will see over 40 fan fiction stories here:

Maybe also check out my new novella. Recently released as an e-book on Xlibris and also now available in Kindle edition on Amazon:

Interesting, perhaps I will be picking it up. Thanks Sara!

I read Thor a few years back when it there was a number 1 issue released with it being drawn by JRJr and it was good.
I did read the beginning of this series as well and I thought it was even better.
I stopped after about 10 issues and  think I'll get back into it soon.

Been really enjoying Thor this past year but the 'Fine Print' storyline has been outstanding.

This story was really hard for me to understand, requiring multiple re-readings. Thanks for the vid!

Nice to see Rich Elson on a Marvel comic =D
The last time I saw any of this work was in Sonic The Comic UK.
