The clock is ticking and there's only two-minutes to talk about comic book crossovers and how come we don't see as many as we used to.

I'm content that we are not in a crossover era right now. I like the universes to remain discrete, each with it's own flavor. The mixes are rarely going to turn out like chocolate in my peanut butter.

The JLA/Avengers crossover was one of the best and smartest crossovers ever. It never felt like a "what if" or fan fiction like so many other crossovers that came before. I'd like to see DC/Marvel top that... wouldn't be easy.

Seconded, it's by far my favourite crossover between two companies and one of my favourite stories too. Busiek handled a lot of topics and interactions very well indeed and wrote the series as naturally and organically as possible. It really was as if the JLA and Avengers were properly interacting with each other which was a big breath of fresh air for crossover stories.

I agree. We need to see more good crossovers. And crossovers that make sense

@spitfirepanda: I do the same thing.

I loved the crossovers (I have mostly Marvel/DC of course with a couple exceptions).

Daredevil/Batman with the game of chicken was one favorite highlight of mine.

P.S. Nice outro G-Man

I make up head canon crossovers all the time. I've never turned them into actual fan fictions, but I've considered it lately.

Ahh, Godzilla vs Barkley is the cover photo and not even mentioned. I have that comic. One of my favorites too. They even made a short video of it which is SO cheesy but SO good.

The crossovers are great sometimes. Teen Titans X-Men might have been the best ever. DKR Batman and Spawn was right up there too. However, sometimes they're a little .....off, like Batman and Hulk where Batman was able to kick Hulk into submission (batkick lol).

Overall, I agree with you Tony. I think if companies did this a little more often, especially today when there are so few, they'd fly off the shelves and both companies would come out on top.

Some reasons why I do not like crossovers. Most of the time they are not canon to either side, and they are pretty silly at others.

That said some crossovers that are canon (invincible meeting spider man comes mind) are just great interaction between mediums.

Also you have Dark Horses Shaquille vs GZ there. That was the dumbest comic ever lol.

They could do one today, it would have to be Batman....What about Iron man. Random fact: the film rights of Iron man were originally in the care of New Line Cinema (which happens to a division of WB). So we were close to a film DC/Marvel crossover.
