I have to disagree about the ending. Knowing that it takes place before BN:5 is important like you said, and knowing what happens at the end of that issue really emphasises what is about to come.

Thanks for the clarification on this being before the events of Blackest Night #5.  Definitely something that's important to know, lol. 
 
So the question I've got is where you would place this first issue against something like BN: Batman #1 or BN: Superman #1?  I thought BN: Titans #1 has been the best start of the "mini-series" sets so far, while Superman would be second. 
 
I'm definitely going to be picking this and BN: Flash #1 up though.
