So im guessing this team is based off of the movies so Ill check it out, but whats up with this prince of thunder crap.

Oh god, there actually using quotes from the film, can you say "creatively redundant?"

Posted by theTimeStreamer

iron man voice: horrible. art style: decent maybe a little too anime-ish. black widow: sounds like everyday american. little lines in trailer: really cartoony and family friendly. thor & hulk hammer/fist shockwave thingy: moronic. opinion: bring back the old show.

Looks shit.

Posted by Mucklefluga

Did the same dude do all the voices?!?! :L

Wrong voice for Iron Man imo.

Didn't enjoy this trailer overall.

The animation looks a tad bit iffy.

Considering what was canceled in order for this show to exist, Avengers Assemble has some pretty big shoes to fill in. Based on that preview, it doesn't look like it will meet the same level of quality that EMH had. Opinions change over time, however, so I'll give it a shot.

The animation looks pretty lazy

Posted by Say_DaySawn

I am not impressed

Posted by Ben3000

After watching the first episode via iTunes...yeah I was pretty bored while watching it. It just screams "movie" and I just wasn't feeling it.

Posted by Flopsop200

I watched the first ep on itunes. It was solid. It reminded me of EMH with imo better art.

Edited by Ganthetsward20

I'm concerned but I've said that about a couple of shows now and have come over to liking the so im giving it try

heres hoping the animation grows on me

I enjoyed Adrian Pasdar on Heroes and he seems like he'd be a spot on match for Tony it feels off. The backgrounds are nice but the character designs aren't as strong as EMH, Ultimate Spiderman suffers the same problem when it comes to human faces. They lack strong structure and don't have enough angle so when sent over seas they shift way to much. This isn't a knock on the art crew because they have some amazing artist on the design staff and I wish it followed more in suit with some of them instead of a halfway point. The animation from these clips in particular feel very rough and for a Disney budget you would assume more polish. Hoping the show hooks me in, with all the other big cartoon shows cancelled lately there aren't many places to get a fix for your animation superhero action anymore.

Well from what I heard this is the sequel to EMH, it's kind of like what Justice League Unlimited was to Justice League, hopefully it's as good as its predecessor.

I'm going in cautiously optimistic, but still not pleased with giving up EMH. Why does the entertainment world fix things that aren't broken?

i want it to be good. i dont have high expectations though

Cheese cake.

Not gonna be as good as Avengers:EMH.

is anyone else sick of the constant pointless switching out of shows? They keep cancelling functional shows, and then creating what are almost clones of the show they are replacing. I hate that They went Teen Titans (good) to Young Justice (pointless, but GREAT)... to Teen Titans Go (ewww). Why? Why have we had like 3 different Avengers-based shows in the last 4 years?

i mean, there are dozens of really marketable heroes and teams. Heroes for Hire. JL International. JSA. The Flash Family. Black Lightnings Family. A show that focuses on the whole Supeman family instead of JUST superman.

But no. Instead we get another X-men. Another Batman. Another Titans. Another Spiderman. Another Avengers. And then after 2 or 3 seasons, they cancel it, wait a season, and introduce its clone. For two companies full of writers with 80 years of pre-existing stories to tell, the Tv media sections of DC and Marvel are super lazy.

I am actually unimpressed.

Oh marvel your stupid antics used to be so amusing...now its just sad

To be fair though, Young Justice was nothing like Teen Titans so to say the switch was pointless isn't exacly true.

Falcon, really, of the plethora of characters to choose from. No Stark you really can't pick a team at all. This looks terrible. That other Avengers show that featured many different heroes that they cancelled in favour of this was far better. Earth's mightiest heroes I think it was called.

Posted by millennium

voice work sounds bad for everyone and why is everyone ripped it looks like a early to mid 90s cartoon in high res

Posted by RalfvdH

Compared to Earth's Mightiest Heroes this is a big step down. Don't like it. I was expecting with Marvel in hands of Disney that the animation would become better... but it isn't. Its getting worse.
Have a similar problem with Ultimate Spider-man. The Spider-man in Earth Mightiest Heroes looked better than in Ultimate Spider-man.

Okay, I just saw the first episode on ITunes....It was very mediocre.

1. Although many complained about the animation on EMH, it was vastly superior to AA and the fight scenes looked much more fluid.

2. The voices of AA were just...bad, especially Thor's, then again, Richard D. Wasserman set the bar so high on EMH that anyone but him would be disappointing anyway.

3. Cheesy dialogue, my goodness every character's line felt forced and humorless, even Hawkeye who was funny in EMH was just a vat of unfunny banter.

This one is a little bit of a spoiler but...

Thor and Hulk fighting? Really? We see it in EVERY incarnation of the Avengers, we get it, they're the two most powerful, do they really have to duke it out again? Even if it was just a ''friendly'' sparring match.

Overall, I hope that the show gets much better, cause the first episode didn't impress at all.

Posted by HollowPrince65

I'm not impressed...the FCBD issue looked cool but hearing the voices and their aim for this...just no. I liked the last show. I give them 4 episodes.

Posted by JamDamage

I wasn't impressed with the first commercial for Earths Mightiest Heroes but he show ended up being great. I'll give this a few chances before I hate it.

Posted by JamDamage

@millennium:

when has Marvel EVER had good voice over work. Never. Even when the show was decent, the weakest part was horrible voice over work and lame dialogue. DC crushes Marvel in this department.

Posted by millennium

@jamdamage: true but this has to be one of the worst voice work that marvel has done

Posted by moviegeek17

You know there's going to be a problem when the art in this show looks worse than earth's mightiest heroes...

Posted by fantasyfreak

Another reason this show won´t last: it shares acronym with Alcoholics Anonymous ffs! Though, I guess you could explain away that with it being a reference to Tonys excessive drinking..

And no, I will not stop being cranky. EMH was awesome. This looks beyond lame.

Edited by cmaprice

Wow, this looks crappy.

EMH was stylized, but the animation was clean and the voice acting was top notch.

This feel like it's out of the 90s. As for the tone/story, it looks like it's nothing more than a vehicle/parasite for/from the movies. I get the need to cross promote, but seriously. Give us SOMETHING unique to go with.

Edited by MadeinBangladesh

Looks alright. Still sad this replaced EMH. the voice acting is also poor.

All the good DC and Marvel animations are all gone :(

Edited by x_29

Just saw the first episode. Looks to be just as mediocre as the show that came before it.

Edited by blueninjapanther

I don't like the art or Iron Man's voice. I think I rather prefer Earth's Mightiest Heroes than this. I would cancel this and bring back EMH. It also doesn't have Black Panther, which sucks. So I'll probably watch the first episode to see if its worth watching and if its not then Marvel did a bad idea on canceling one of the best TV shows and instead replacing it with this crap.

Posted by weaponx

I was excited for this... until I saw the trailer. Now I just hope it is not horrible and that it will grow on me. The animation looks off, but at first I wasn't a big fan of EMH animation either, so we'll see. I hope this show works out!

Looks like shtako.

Posted by OmgOmgWtfWtf

The voices in this show are beyond terrible.

Also, Falcon is nothing more than a token black character. Sorry, but he was never in the original Avengers or even the movie Avengers. He feels out of place and really unnecessary.

They could at least kept Black Panther, he had an important role in EMH, Falcon is just an inexperienced Newb.

The whole shows seems to be more focused towards a 'younger' audience. It seems Marvel is trying to cater to new fans and, at the same time, spitting on the old fans. I just don't know what Marvel is doing anymore. Any sense of continuity or structure is gone out of the window. They rather be 'in' and 'now', instead of being sensible.

it's not...that was just something that Loeb said to calm people down....it has none of the same voice cast, the designs are different, and it will never reference anything from EMH...pretty much the opposite of Justice League and JLU

Seems like the money men are running the show now at Marvel

Posted by MagmaGazer

This doesn't appeal to me. And I'm hating the shading that painfully reminds me of the older 'Ultimate Avengers' animated films.

After seeing the first episode...yeah, you're right. Not only do they not work together as a team like in EMH, but they don't even act the same.

Posted by doombot890

@the_stegman: oh god you are in my head posting things before i've had the chance!

so true on everything you've said the animation kind of reminded me of one of those cartoons that was made in france and dubbed in english during the 90's

and also is this going to be in the same world as ultimate spiderman?
