thanks for revising my knowledge of hob goblin IN 3 MINUTES

That shirt is amazing!

Hey thanks a lot G-man ! Cool shirt btw.

Posted by The Sadhu

Nice... but haven't you already done a three minute expert on Hobgoblin? I feel like I've seen this video before.
Posted by kungnima

Just what I needed! Thank you very much, sir!
Btw, awesome t-shirt!

Posted by sora_thekey

... and I have not read Amazing Spider-Man #648... (the two comic book stores I go to were sold out! <_>)
So I'm really missing out on it because I haven't bought this week's issue either!

Thanks for the 3ME, there was a lot I didn't know... and as always Kudos to Joey for the awesome editing (assuming it was Joey :P)

I never liked the idea of Kingsley as the actual Hobgoblin. Ned Leeds seemed to fit more perfectly.

Anyway, Hobgoblin having wings and fiery swords is awful. His thing is not about sorcery but technology.

Where can I buy that shirt? :)

Great one G-Man. I'm big on all the Goblins. I always loved the color deco on Hobgoblin. Some great classic bronze style art featured in this one too. Also great choice because the Hobgoblin history is infamously tough to get straight. It's sort of convoluted, all those identities (some being false), so that's for clearing it up for me.

Would you consider a Mysterio 3-Minute? I know you share my love of the fishbowl. =]

Interesting. I was never a fan of Hobgoblin and didn't care about reading about his bio so thanks for this  FOUR-minute video.

Great job on another 3-Minute Expert video. Great character(s) the Hobgoblin is. Oh, and great t-shirt there G-Man (frankly I'm a little jealous).

Roderick Kingsley as the Hobgoblin is one of, if not my absolute favorite villain of all time. Excellent video.

Posted by Band Lone

No cool special effect at the end? D:

Not even a pumpkin bomb? Or at least some pumpkin pie? O_o

 Boooo :P

Nice vid

I always thought that, too.  It was big stuff back in the day concerning Hobgoblin's identity.

Hobgoblin rules.   Nice one, G-Man!

Nice.

Veeery enlightening.

@thiagofonseca:  I guess u haven't read #649

I am now an expert on all things Hobgoblin. And it only took around 3 minutes!

Posted by ArtisticNeedham

I may be wrong, but I think one of the points of the Hobgoblin was to use the idea for his identity that Ditko wanted for the Green Goblin, someone not connected to Peter Parker at all.  Just a random stranger, because usually thats who it would be.  Not every enemy would be connected to Peter's life like Osborn or Connors.

Long Live Hobbie the Gobbie!!

Yeah, but what about Demogoblin?

It's all tech. It's not mystical at all.

I don't intend to come off like a jerk, but your pronunciation of 'The' ('Dah') is incredibly distracting to me.

Posted by suicidejocky

Hmmm, no mention of Macendales deal with N'astirh and his transformation (Spectacular Spider-Man 147), or how it created Demogoblin (Web of Spider-man 86)? Tsk, tsk.

Just nitpicking. Seriously though, nice video

nice expert g-man as always

The Hobgoblin was such a weak concept. Just filler until Norman was brought back. Bringing him back today serves no purpose at all except to fill in until Norman is busted out of jail.

However, the death of Ned Leeds' character was very downplayed in the video. That was huge at the time. Spider-man vs. Wolverine was a great stand alone.

This video should've been called "3 minutes in 4 munites 7 seconds"

Posted by EganTheVile1

Thought I was the resident Hobbie expert!

Its his accent, not really much he can do about it.

My favorite^^
I've always been a big fan of Hobgoby, more so than the GG...sad when I see how much they've re-used Norman these last recent years...
(who would imagine that in the late 80s/early 90s, with Norman AND Harry dead?)

Posted by ShirEPanjshir

I always loved the goblin characters. Especially Hobgoblin was intriguing. I'm interested to see where this new appearance of Hobbie wil go.

Posted by NXH

Awesome 3ME. I only seem to remember the hobgoblin in the spiderman animated series.
sucked that we never got to see him in spectacular spiderman tv series and i except he would've made an appearance if the show had continued with a 3rd season. but saying that, i think the last scene showing osborn getting off a plane and wearing a caribbean shirt was a throwback to roberick kingsley.

Pretty good. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

That was a good one.  There was a one shot were Spidey and Falcon found a goblin hide out. And it just ended there. I wonder if they will come back around to it.

I wasn't a fan of Demogoblin and always thought Macendale was a chump. Plus I was obviously already over my time limit. Here's a shot that didn't make it into the video.

Very confusing :S
But thanks anyway :D

Posted by Moomin123

Please let there be a 3 Minute Expert on Bizarro or Capt. Marvel.

Maybe it should be called "3 Minute (or however long it takes to fully encapsulate the history of charachters, some of which have over 25 years of comicbook history) Expert"

Nah, your title has a better ring to it.

I wasn't a fan of Demogoblin and always thought Macendale was a chump

And Donovan wasn't?

I really liked the Hobgoblin, especially his costume.  Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I like these 3 mins expert stuff. Gives a good overview of the character while providing enough basic info that it can further be researched if/when necessary.

Posted by Luthorcrow

I remember the original Hobgoblin run and the mystery behind his identity but I didn't keep up with all of the turns and turns.  Reads like there were some creative differences and unnecessary red herrings just to string the readers along.

At least it was never has bad as bring the Green Goblin and Gwen Stacey back from the dead with one of the most ridiculous retcons ever.

That was super informative.  I never would have figured that out on my own . . . at least not in three minutes.  :)  Thanks again, Tony.

Fantastic 3 min. bio G-Man!

Posted by SteevDave

Hobgoblin sounds weird when it's said over and over.

Posted by Tolliver_Trask

He hobnobs with the best of them.

Posted by three4daeast

I like this series a lot. Makes me want to read more Marvel stuff.

Hobby isn't exactly my favorite Spidey villain, but he was voiced by Mark Hamill in the cartoon so I give him credit.
