Well i know it's a Cartoon but i'm watching Spider man and his amazing friends, and Kitty tried to walk through a Vibranium wall but it didnt work.

A few times they implied that Kitty had a hard time phasing through adamantium too. But that was only for a short time. Though I you could say energized vibranium generates a forcefield or something. Kinda like how T'Challa's vibranium soles when energized properly allows him to walk on water and such, its like it can do anything when the writer wants it to.

She still has trouble with adamantium. 

depends on the writter

I think it has to deal with the density of the material.
