Punk Hazard Island Arc
As part of DoFlamingo's orders, Vergo left the G-5 to look in on Caesar Clown at Punk Hazard. He found that Trafalgar Law had allied himself with the Straw Hat Pirates to destroy the artificial devil fruit factory. After throwing Law in a cell with Luffy, Smoker, and Tashigi, his identity as a spy was revealed. Smoker and Straw Hats escaped from the trap they were left in and got back into the facility. Vergo went after his former G-5 subordinates and was ruthless in his attacks. He was only stopped by Sanji, but even this strong fighter fractured his leg when he tried to kick into Vergo's armament hardening.
Law cuts through Vergo's armament hakiVergo went after Law when he realized Law intended to destroy the SAD chemical facility, that was an important part of creating the artificial devil fruit. Law had the upper hand against Law thanks to him still holding Law's disembodied heart. Smoker appeared to help in the fight, but he was just a distraction to help Law get his heart back. Despite covering his entire body in his armament haki, Law sliced through Vergo and the entire mountain they were inside. Law sliced up Vergo several more times and left him before as he escaped.
Powers & Abilities
Vergo is a strong and well trained fighter that reached the level of Vice-Admiral in the Navy. With this comes an air of intimidation to many pirates of the seas and respect among subordinates.
Six Powers
The Six Powers (六式, Rokushiki) is a style of martial arts that was developed partly to counter the incredible powers of Devil Fruit users. There are six basic attacks that are taught in the Six Powers. Vergo has only displayed the ability to use three.
Shave
The Shave (剃, Soru) technique is an ability to travel at short distances at incredible speeds. The user is so fast they seem to disappear. This is excellent for evading attacks.
Moon Walk
The Moon Walk (月歩, Geppō) technique to move through the air. What looks like a single kick is actually several kicks of the leg that propels the user into the air. The user can maintain a position in mid-air or suddenly change directions.
Finger Pistol
The Finger Pistol (指銃, Shigan) technique is an offensive attack that hardens the users finger. With a swift and strong strike they can pierce a person's body like a bullet.
Haki
Haki (覇気, Haki) is a power that is possessed by all people, but few can actually use it. It's often unique to those with a strong enough will to control. This power is even strong enough to cancel out the powers of Devil Fruit users, but even they can use this skill.
Armament Haki
The Armament Haki (武装色, Busoushoku) technique is a skill that surrounded the body of the user like an invisible armor. This can also be projected outward when striking to cause even more damage than normal. This power can even completely cancel the abilities of the powerful Logia Devil Fruit users. It can also be extended to weapons.
Armament Hardening
Armament hardening (武装色 硬化 Busō-shoku: Kōka) is an advanced form of armament haki. The armament on the body will turn black and incredibly durable. This adds far more force into an attack. Vergo is a master in his use of armament hardening, and has been shown to be able to cover his entire body in his armament.
He can extend it to the bamboo shaft he always carries with him. This is a reference to his nickname "Demon Bamboo". Vergo was also shown to use his bamboo like a blast tube, when he blew explosive darts out of his bamboo stick.
