The Venom symbiote originally bonded with Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, during his adventure in the first Secret Wars on the Beyonder's planet called Battleworld. Initially, he thought the symbiote was just an attire. However, upon his discovery, he rejected it because he realized that it was sentient. Since then, the symbiote has bonded with several other hosts, including Eddie Brock, Angelo Fortunato, Flash Thompson, Ann Weying, and even Carol Danvers. Currently, its host is Eddie Brock.
Flash frequently bullied Peter Parker but was actually Spider-Man's greatest fan. In time, Flash befriended Peter, became a decorated war hero, and eventually joined the Marvel superheroes as a symbiote host, first with Venom and then with Anti-Venom.
Betty Brant started as a personal secretary at the Daily Bugle and later became a top reporter. Betty is also one of the many love interests of Peter Parker and ex-girlfriend of Flash Thompson
Eddie Brock bonded with the dark alien symbiote after it was discarded by Spider-Man, becoming the first Venom. Later, Brock became Anti-Venom, but the symbiote was lost during the events of Spider-Island. Brock has also been forcibly bonded to the Toxin Symbiote by the Crime-Master, but has reluctantly given it up to stop Carnage. Recently he has re-bonded with Venom.
A sadistic mercenary abducted as a kid by Crime-Master who raised him to be a stone-cold killer. He assumed the persona of Jack O'Lantern after killing all of the people who previously used this name.
Toxin is the symbiote spawn of the vicious symbiote, Carnage, and grandson of Venom.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.

Flash Thompson's Philadelphia neighbor and student who was constantly pulled into his weird world. She bonded with Mania symbiote, the Scream symbiote, and now the Silence symbiote, while also inheriting the Hell-Mark from the Mania, making her a potential Hell-Lord.
Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is former U.S. military general. He is father of Bruce Banner's love Betty Ross and was archenemy of the Incredible Hulk. Ross made a deal with villains to be transformed into a Hulk himself. As the ruthless and cunning Red Hulk, he attempted to destroy his nemesis and take control of the country before seeking redemption as an Avenger. After leaving the team, he formed his own group of Thunderbolts with other Anti-Heroes. He was recently depowered by Doctor Green.

Alejandra temporarily replaced Johnny Blaze as the host of Zarathos and was later imbued with a fraction of Zarathos' power when the Spirit of Vengeance returned to Johnny Blaze

During World War II, Steve Rogers volunteered to receive the experimental Super-Soldier Serum. Enhanced to the pinnacle of human physical potential and armed with an unbreakable shield, he became Captain America. After a failed mission left him encased in ice for decades, he was found and revived by the Avengers, later joining their ranks and eventually becoming the team's leader.

A small-time thug who battled Spider-Man on several occasions, the Fly was killed by the Scourge of the Underworld. He was later brought back by The Hood, and received power enhancements. Now Fly is member of Crime-Master's Savage Six.
The Asgardian goddess Brunnhilde is one of Asgard's mightiest warriors and the leader of the Valkyrior, Odin's choosers of the slain. Known simply as "Valkyrie" outside of Asgard, she is a long-time member of the Defenders and more recently also a member of the Avengers.
Captain Katherine Glover works for the United States Special Forces, she is in charge of Flash Thompson's Venom missions overseas. Kat is shown to be a strong and courageous woman, whom can take care of herself.
Harrison Thompson is the abusive father of Flash Thompson.
Jessie is the sister of Flash Thompson.
Blackheart is the son of Mephisto, and being so, planned to seize his father's power and succeeded.
A sadistic, cruel, and dangerous extra-dimensional demon with unknown origins, Mephisto is incredibly powerful. Based on Mephistopheles, a demon from the Faust legend, Mephisto is known for stealing souls and torturing them in his hell-like dimension. He is one of the many Hell-Lords in the Marvel Universe.
A founding member of the X-Men, Dr. Hank McCoy is a mutant possessing animal-like strength and agility. Despite being covered in blue fur and resembling a ferocious beast, Hank possesses an astounding intellect and a superb wit. He is currently a key member of X-Force.
Hank Pym is a scientific genius, a founding member of the Avengers, the creator of Pym Particles and of Ultron, and a modern-day superhero who suffers from a Bipolar disorder. He has acted under many memorable identities such as Ant-Man, Giant Man, Goliath, Yellowjacket, and the Wasp. He is also the Earth's Scientist Supreme, as decreed by Eternity.

Gregory Nettles was an industrial thief when a freak accident at an electronics show transformed him into Megatak. His ability to control electricity and electronic components brought him into conflict with Thor. Megatak would later meet his demise by Scourge but is resurrected years later by the Hood.
Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stuntman, became bound to the Spirit of Vengeance known as Zarathos after making a deal with Mephisto to spare the life of his surrogate father. With the power to control hellfire and to inflict pain on those he deems evil with his Penance Stare, Johnny seeks vengeance as Ghost Rider.
